well, the home court and layoff worry me ,but,i have to admit,i`ve become a barrios admirer...

he fought freitas tooth and nail when freitas was at the tip top of his game....that was a GREAT fight...dead even on the cards going into the 12th...both guys down twice...

he exposed anchondo...blitzed nagy...and hung with guzman....

barring a hometown decision,is juarez busy enough to out-work and out-score barrios?...bothe have iron chins...

every time i think barrios is just another argentinian plugger,he proves me wrong........

any thoughts?...

Is Juarez the home fighter!?

Barrios will probaly win a decision.

Juarez is tough, but he's just not active enough...Barrios will also be the bigger man...I think he is rightfully favored...

Did the odds change on this one? I could have sworn I saw Juarez the favorite before the 1st fight was delayed...now barios is the favorite. Juarez is somebody that doesn't know how to turn it up a notch when he fights the big fight. He's had some winnable fights but simply didn't have it in him to dial it up and take the fight up a degree...Barrera and soto come to mind. I like Barrios in this one. He's a gamer and a fighter and Rocky will let another one get out of his grasp.

That Argentinian madman has been making 130 since his very first fight at age 20 in 1996. I thought when he failed to make the weight against Guzman, he was done there.. apparently not. The scales might be worth a watch. What about the main event, Katsidis/Baby Bull Diaz. Both go forward and bombs away, so even though Diaz isn't heavy handed , I still like the value under 10.5 +160 since Kats chin is average at best and he cuts and bruises easy.

I like Rocky by KO

that's like my first official pick on here, so fade that shit :mj07:

i believe barrios is training with rudy perez in cali now but i like rocky's straighter punches inside the hyenas loopy stuff and the texan crowd should help rocky turn it up a little

it will be very hard to beat rocky in texas, i wouldn't be surprised if barrios has weight issues either and this fight gets scrapped but let's hope for a good fight :SIB

I remember sitting with Rocky at MGM Lounge on a big fight weekend, nice kid. He was unfortunate to get cut as bad as he did very early against Marquez. That cut was bad enough that they should have stopped it. I thought Marquez went for it and landed some hellacious punishment that bout. He had some surgery after that. Said he was seeing like 3 people in the ring at once! Lot of variables in the Barrrios fight so I just parlayed Anthony "The Mental Case" Thompson with Rocky when he was at +165, for a +220 payout on a whopping 50 bucks. Juarez has had a tough go, maybe the Houston venue will back him a bit.

oh yeah, forgot about that, there was a video interview on maxboxing and rocky said he's been fighting with like double vision for a long ass time and finally got it corrected

i was at that fight in tucson with marquez vs juarez, i had bet marquez by KO but to no avail,

i was hoping to cash in on a cut too which happened early, but it never got stopped

rocky is a really nice dude, met him at fights a couple times

I believe he's still with tommy brooks, the marquez fight was the first time they teamed up right?
