Just curious as to what exactly the operation is if you get a chance, I am in med school right now and learning about this stuff so it interests me, plus I have personally had reconstructive shoulder surgery as well. If I dont hear back, Good Luck with the surgery

Actually, that is the exact procedure I had done 7 years ago, when I was in high school playing HS football. However, at the time, the procedure was done open rather than with the scope. Results with the scope are great because there is less inflammation and scarring with less risk of nerve impingement. The rehab is a bitch, I'm going to tell you now. Did they tell you if you are going to have to wear a "Gunslinger" brace after the surgery?

Oh man, that brace will be your nemesis by the end of those 4 weeks. A piece of advice: Put an adjustable recliner in front of a tv because you won't be sleeping in a bed for that time. Its impossible with that brace. Make sure you keep your narcotic prescriptions filled b/c its the only way you'll really get any sleep at all. Also, get some spray-on deodorant because otherwise, your pit will start smelling gross after a few days- I know. Anyways, good luck with your surgery and I'll be looking for your post within the next few days to let us know how it went.
