Its the last time Texas will be playing at the Erwin Center They are knocking down the staduim after being up for 43 years, The game is sold out and the Home crowd will give the Longhorns a home court advantage Beard has done a great job getting support from the student body and many are showing up to see the last game at Erwin before it gets demolished. But I like Baylor -1 ***
Baylor beat them in Waco 80-53 and think Baylor has a better offense and although Texas D might be a little better not enough to stop the Bears. Bears are without Tchatchouaa huge loss that will effect them later at the Big Dance but not tonight. Baylor will play Sochan who is 6'9 at the point tonight. Then you have 2 wings Mayer and Flager who are either gds or fds. They already have the 2nd or 3rd best Gd in the B-12 in Akinjo and Thamba the 6'10 fd Then you have Brown off the bench .. this team has so much depth . Texas did win at WV the other day and Finally Ferbes hit his open shot. But the MO on Texas is " let them shoot those 3's because they are so inconsistent from the 3 pt line. Allen had a big game inside vs WV but lets not forget Mitchell their 6'9 kid probably will not play again due to personal problems, He is theeir top inside scorer and more importantly their inside passer. But Texas also has depth inside so he hasn't been missed to much yet.
Think Baylor has more talent and has played in tough environments and although Erwin will be rocking tonight think Bears can handle that .. I am an invite to the Baylor VIP room tonight with dinner etc. Last time 2 years ago I wore my Mean green North Texas shirt to this VIP room Everybody was wearing green so they thought I was a Baylor guest. I had some boxes **'s on Texas that night but no one knew. Think Bears handle the Longhorns tonite with to much Akinjo attacking the basket
