Baylor +4 over Texas ***
Texas was exposed in last game with their inside game. Tenn shout down Carr and co and Texas doesn't have the front line to dominate. But the Bears really don't have a dominate force inside except for Thamba who is 6'11 and rebounds and plays defense. Thats all they need him for. New coach Terry has to figure out what went wrong in Knoxville losing by 11. Texas was exposed by Barnes and co shutting down Carr and their interior game.
Baylor has Flager and Cryer who are outstanding gds Throw in the best freshman in the country in George with those 2 and nobody can defend against them. Texas prides itself with good D but Bears half court and transition offense will be to much. Texas has been out rebounded in 4 of last 5 games. Carr,Hunter and Rice are a great trio against the Bears 3 gds. Texas has some freshmen at fd and gd that add depth. Texas home court has given them more of an home court advantage then before. But Allen is 6'6 and he is their best scorer inside. Disu at 6'9 is next. Then they have Mitchell the fr at 6'8 , Bears don't have the front line that the Vols had but Thamba and Bridges inside might not be a threat on Off but on D they are. George is the stud out there. He can drive,shoot and alter his shot in traffic. Think +4 is way to many for Texas to give. I know Moody will be sold out and rocking but I always say " good gds from the visiting team always negates some of the home court advantage. And the Bears might have the best 3 in the country. Think Texas is licking its wounds from Knoxville and the Bears are coming off a win over Arkansas.
Terry has done a great job going 10-2 since taking over and many are saying this week will be his test week to see if he is next years coach. Rumors are flying all over Austin about who replaces Beard. Think Terry knows this and I think back to back losses to Tenn and possibly Baylor tonite and Longhorns might start looking elsewhere. Not sure if that is right but that seems to be the rumor. Think Texas strength is it back court and the Bears have a better one Think front court is a slight advantage to Baylor. Think coach adv to Bears. Would not be surprised to see Baylor win out right. Think the line is way off and moneyline might be another play.
