Could someone explain the validity of this poll. I know everyone hates this thing, but how could it possibly be considered valid by anyone.

Nebraska is #2 in their poll despite being drummed by Penn State and having quality wins over Troy State and Utah State. South Carolina with losses to Georgia and Virginia and wins over the powerhouses New Mexico State and Temple is #14 on the list.

Am I reading this thing wrong?

The poll is so obviously a farce it makes me sick.

A week (or two?) ago, Colorado State was 2-0, beating Colorado and yet was 19 and Colorado was 16. Something like that. Total and complete nonsense.

I think you guys are looking at last years poll b/c the first rankings don't come out till Oct 21st...:shrug:

Ya..I pulled up the page on ESPN and saw that Colorado was right after Nebraska...that was the red flag for me....
