...as this is traditionally a very difficult time to handicap the NBA. Most teams are very tired and hurting and are looking ahead to the All-Star break. Plus, a number of players' minds are on the upcoming trade deadline. It's really hard to get a grasp on which teams will come to play this week...
I'm seeing a lot of posts from frustrated handicappers right now (both here and elsewhere). This is a great time to take a week off. For many cappers, burnout sets in around now due to the overlap in sports through the end of January. This can lead to shortcuts in the handicapping process. Combined with the unpredictable nature as I mentioned above, it's very easy to lose, get frustrated, and then chase losses. Plenty of games left after the All-Star break and then 2 months of playoffs...
