I was thinking bout how you were doing during the crisis.Was easier for me cause I did not spend as much time in front of puter which is one of my harder times.Has the urge subsided a great deal?Not bad here.If I open the jar now in weak moments it nearlt gags me.How is the ole family relating to this?
2 weeks should have you past the point of no return.And to boot you did it at the very hardest of times/start up of foots.Find yourself snacking in the evenings?I swear I could eat 24 hours a day.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Excuse me while I go check the frig

Jack,
You got em by the short hairs brother. No way are you going back now after that ordeal. Now you can take your time and choose to do battle # 2.....food....if you need to.

I do, but its not too bad yet. Gotta warn ya Jack...Don't ever get comfortable with this and think you can cheat once in a while. I made that mistake twice in the last 20 years and was right back to square 1 with the first cigarette. You and DTB picked a real tough time to quit but I gotta hand it to ya...GREAT JOB! Families must be proud as hell...and you both are probably starting to feel the benefits of breathing fresh air..CONGRATULATIONS and stay strong!

Hey you guys are doing great, I gave up cold turkey 5 years ago and it is the hardest thing I ever did, but I can tell you that you will never regret doing it.
Keep going guys!

DTB--i get some strong urges but not nearly as bad as the first few days. the family will NEVER let me go back even though i've had some grouchy moments in the last few weeks. i think i'm eating more....not sure.

roger--the food doesn't taste better yet. it always did taste good

Didn't want to add anything in this thread because I didn't want to jinx anyone....
My wife stopped smoking about 3 weeks ago and was doing great until last tuesday. Now, she is right back where she was. This is probably the 20th time since I've known her that she has tried to quit.
I am gonna tell her about you guys and see if she will try knowing that there are others out there giving their best to quit.
FWIW, I never got into cigs, but I did chew for 10 years or so. That was hard to quit, but my brother has quit both and he says he thought cigs were 10 times harder than the chew.
Keep up the good work everyone...
