Superbook,

Fairfield looks pretty good in this spot....I have seen them play with Deng and it seems to take him a little time to get agressive ..when he does he is very good at this level. He adds to Fairfield....since their 4 point loss to Iona back in Dec,......16.3pts...63 % fg ....74 % free throws and 50% from 3pt range...Usually in dd for rebounds.....Fairfield has a number of players (5 at least) capable of double digits on most given nights..Deng Gai ....and Sam Spann ....with Deng make Ffld tough
in the frontcourt...while guards have been lighting it up of late.

Not a big home advantage for Iona (1-4) and I think that Fairfield has a good shot to get the W............+4.5 points looks good here ...will look closer in the AM!

I agree with Bear
Fair field has been nasty with Deng..
I actually played with him 3 years ago...
But he was never good enough for Calhoun...
Calhoun rode his but because basketball was kind of new for hijm and he could not understand all the offenses and D's....
Now where he is clearly a higher caliber athlete he is dominating...
I mean the man is 6'`11 and shoots 3's like crazy and blocks and rebounds...once he learns how to play inside he will have a shot...
Anyways I like Fairfield BIG:cool:

Buddy-- I see Fairfield as 1-6 on the road and 2-4 ATS away but maybe I'm missing something.

Iona is a commuter school, only half of students are full-time and live on campus. No big home field advantage here.

IMO the linesmakers haven't caught up with Fairfield as a much better and improving team with Deng. Since he joined the team for the NC-Wilmington game after Christmas, Fairfield is 4-2 ATS.

sb,

I show Fairfield as 1-4 SU / 3-1-1 ATS

They covered at Niagra as a 5 pt road dog, 77-79.

They win outright at Canisius as 5' pt road dog, 77-69.

They got blown at Unc Wilmington as 13 pt road dog, 57-82.

The other two games, one N/L and the other a 13' pt road dog @ Manhattan hovered near the closing line.

Just because a team wins the last 3,4,or5 games s/u in a series it doesn't have a whole lot of meaning by it self.Last night E.Ill hand lost the last 4& won,ILL Chi had won the last 3& lost.I agree with the FF support up top. the only- is they are 1-6 on the road.To me it's a FF play or pass.
