Not actually a book but would like to create a site that tracks lines and scores.
I've looked and I just can't find any sources of electronic lines and scores that are easily manipulated so I can store them into a database.
www.cswstats.com provides nice ascii text pages for them lines but they are formatted to be easily read by human eyes. All that formatting is extraneous when all I need is the raw data to be entered into a computer. I've actually written a program to parse their linesheets because all the formatting follows a pattern. However, scoreboards are a different story, I haven't found anything that is easily parsed.
What sources do offshore books use to receive their lines and scores? I'm looking for a solution that can be automated so I don't need someone in the back room reading lines/scores and entering them by hand.
Jack, where do you get your lines from for the bestbettor site? Do they provide similar service for scores?
I just can't believe that all these offshores have ppl watching the games on dishes to confirm final scores and others entering lines in by hand. This is the computer age!!!
