Just like I said in my Strikeforce thread,I just got back from Mexico.I look at this card and think the Lombard,Sandro odds are about right. What about the main event? I have seen more of Chandler than I have Alvarez.Does the kid have a legit shot?I really havent seen anyone taking him in the short time I have been researching things.

I think Chandler does have a shot

On the feet it is clearly Alvarez and he is better in the submissions though never fighter is going to want to be on his back and if he is I expect them to try to get back up.

Alvarez is probably slightly bigger having fought at 170 before though I think Chandler may be stronger.

For Chandler to win it is going to be wrestling. The difference here is he is a Div 1 wrestler. He is able to out work and basically out muscle a lot of opponents and his striking is improving to the point he will throw spinning back fists and flying knees.

At these odds I have made a small play on Chandler though experience and level of competition is with Alvarez. But Chandler brings a very fast pace

alvarez is better all around...and i don`t care how much chandler`s strikng has improved,it ain`t nowhere near as good as alvarez`......

that said, chandler has that great wrestling background and that can negate an awful ot of stuff.....when alvarez considers striking,he has to also consider the possibility of ending up on his back...and that`s not easy....it will inhibit his striking....

the question is,can chandler take alvarez down?...and keep him down for at least 3 rounds?...cause that`s what he`ll have to do....

i think that chandler would be a handful for pretty much most of the elite 155`ers in the ufc because of his wrestliing......it`s that good....

but alvarez is an elite all-around fighter....

in the ufc, this would be a co-main event...maybe even a main event given the quality of some recent cards...

My Plays

My Plays

Alvarez -260 small

Lombard/Sandro/Chavez JR.(hbo sat. boxing)parlay.(This bet is big enough to cover the alvarez bet in case Chandler beats him.)

Of course if the parlay misses I have a loosing card..

I wonder what Eddie's contract with Bellator is being the champion? Does he have to drop the drop the title in the cage to leave or do they have the champions tied up (I think they do but not sure). I'm sure the UFC would love to have him and he is in his prime and clearly Bellator if they want to grow need to keep guys like him
