Neer blows, sorry.

Alvarez will walk through him.

Also, take Curran, you wanna talk about OVERRATED? Huerta fits that 1000000%

When is the last time Alvarez "walked through" anyone?

He hasn't fought the best competition and in all his fights he gets into trouble. I can't remember the last time he "walked through" anyone:shrug:

Alvarez is a tad over-rated, he ain't a Top 5 fighter like some think. He will probably beat Neer, but Neer odds too good to pass up. Plus Neer is a tough motherfucker, not a push-over by any means.

i could give a damn if he's top 5 or top 100. he's light years better than Neer. Neer sucks. Great, he's tough, doesn't make him a good fighter.

Neer always bitches about having to fight guys who don't stand with him. How about he learn a fucking ground game? I don't see fighters crying about him not wanting to goto the ground game with them. HYPOCRITICAL.

ps- Alvarez has fought alot of good fighters. Hansen, Aoki, Imada, Thompson, Kawajiri, to name a few.

As far as running through opponents. Well, lets see, in 21 fights, only 2 have gone to decision...and he's only got 2 losses.

Learn something.

Could not agree more!!!

Alvarez is more talented than Thomson but it didn't matter.
The same thing might apply here. Neer might be too big.

Neer's groundgame is also being underrated.
Anyone who can sub Danzig has a ground game.

I am betting on the alway's tough Neer.

I've thought Danzig just jumped into the sub Melvin Guillard style to be honest . It was a tough fight where both have had their moments but I remember Danzig blew his load and just gave up the sub . The problem is Neer's takedown defense is horrible , its just very bad . Alvarez is a good enough wrestler to drive Neer down and he also fairly good ground game from the top , only thing I can see Neer catching him with is a triangle . I think Alvarez will keept it standing and test Neer's chin first . Neer doesn't have the tighest defense and I am surprised he hasn't been knocked out more than just 1 time where the guy laid him out Fedor vs Rogers style . The problem is that Neer has only stopped bums outside of the UFC in his whole career minus Danzig who gave up the submission and Melvin who likes to play grab my neck game . If Neer is winning the stand up exchanges Alvarez can take him down probably any time and steal the round laying on top of him . Neer looked hopeless against Kurt P. and Tibau on the bottom , only offense I've seen from him was cursing at his opponents trying to make them let him get up :mj07:
By the way Nick T. has also stopped Neer and he is pretty good against people who are smaller than him . He was a bit unlucky drawing Kennedy and Hornbuckle in his last two , too physically strong for him .

Just rewatched the Danzig vs Neer fight ...

Danzig is about the same size of Eddie Alvarez tho Eddie is slightly taller than him . Danzig has solid boxing but not the power of Alvarez . Danzig was landing very well in the first round , rocked Neer a time but Neer just didnt respect his power and kept coming forward . Biggest problem was Neer pinning Danzig against the cage and landing uppercuts but I dont see him have much success pinning Alvarez against the cage who is clearly much better wrestler than Danzig .
Danzig almost got caught in a sub first round cuz his posture sux and he leaves his arms there for taking to get armbar triangled . In the second round once again he was on top and left his arms in front of Neer who locked up tigher armbar triangle this time and forced Danzig to tapout . There were bunch of seconds with Danzig just offering Neer to sub him , if he pulled out his arm this wouldnt of happened .
If Eddie doesn't get armbar triangled or maybe guillotine choked when going for a takedown he should be fine . About the only ways Neer wins the fight are those 2 subs . Neer's stand up is like poor man's Diaz , he doesnt have big 1 punch power .

I'm gonna parlay Alvarez, Konrad, Mamed Khalidov (Polish card).

I think Eddie wins this fight.

If Huerta fights like he did in the first round his last bout Curran might have a chance . :mj07:

Konrad and Mamedov much safer favorites I think .
