Vanished into vortex
The most laughable franchise in Ohio isn't in Cleveland these days. At least the entire Browns organization can cite stupidity for their shortcomings and, let's face it, everyone can't be an expert. Someone has to be the dumb kid and Cleveland is it.

The Bengals on the other hand choose to be what they are. It's easy for fans of one team to hate the marquee player of the other team. We Steeler fans hate Ray Lewis and don't know how anyone can root for the guy, but that is how it is in a lot cases. I know NHL fans outside of Pittsburgh can't fathom the idea of rooting for Crosby, who is a great guy.

Vontaze Burfict is another story. This is the dirtiest guy the league has seen in some time and that's the way he wants it. The fact that a fan wears his jersey tells you all you need to know about Cincy. The fact the coach let's him play in critical situations tells you all you need to know about Marvin Lewis, the fact he hasn't been fired tells you all you need to know about ownership.

The Browns don't win because they aren't capable, the Bengals have talented players, they just choose to be the tough guys who prefer to be the dirty guys.

15 seasons and 7 Wild Card game loses to show for his efforts...

Mike Brown and Pete Brown.....Marvin Lewis

I read the franchise history today....all I can say is WOW..

I'm old enough to read and recall how Paul Brown handled leaving Cleveland as coach and starting up Cinc.team that became the last to join the merged NFL/ AFL...the player stuff we know some of but man o man does this family have some nasty run in's with anyone in their way to what they want and how they want it.
