Getting ready for fantasy football and would like some ideas on what you guys think are some of the better fantasy football magazines out there. I like Fantasy Football Index and Fantasy Football Pro Forecast, but they all differ so much, any thoughts?

I got the Fantasy Football Pro Forecast (Vick dropping back to pss on front in white uniform)...has pretty much everything I need. Not saying it's the best but I only buy one mag a season for FFB and this was the one I grabbed. I like pg. 64 where they got "Overall Picks" for 13 different experts and give you an Overall Average of where each player got picked at each position. This mag has essentailly everything all others have, I imagine. predictions, write-ups, cheat sheets etc....

The two I use every year are The Sporting News and Fantasy Football Index. I have found both to be very good.

However if your depending strictly on magazines, you'll be missing the boat on very important breaking developments that may occur in camp and pre-season. Since most of the magazines are published in July they miss alot of key signings. For example, Griese is still listed as a free agent in most magazines. I have found that the internet is the best way to go in terms up staying up to date with injuries, depth chart changes ,ect.

GL, and don't let Marshell F. drop-- he bounces back big time this year.

I definitley agree with you Sparky. I was in a league last year that used cbs sportsline, and it was great. But this year we have went to "cheaper" league managers like rt sports and espn league manager, I just hope they are almost as good as cbs sportsline.

i have cashed in 6 of 7 years and i always get fantasy football pro forecast. im sure the others are good too but the karma alone makes me get this one. i have not founf it yet though.

the best thing to do is keep it simple. get that magazine, subscribe $12 for a yr with thehuddle.com (#1 ranked site 5 years running), and go to the draft with your personal cheat sheet, 1 page with position players and your magazine. use the magazine for kickers and defenses so your main page isnt cluttered. as i draft i also mark my sheet next to the name as to which bye week they are on so you dont miss a whole week. lastly i look at the schedules after i pick my qb for the week he is off and find an easy matchup that week . look for a bad team and draft the qb playing him. finally , see who tampa bay plays during the ffl playoffs weeks 14-16, and DO NOT draft that qb. your season will come to an abrubt halt. that means vick, brooks and someone else are out for me this yr, unless they fall to like the late 3rd rd or 4th, which wont happen. that formula wins for me every yr. draft guys with catches and carries the year before mid to late rounds. the td's will come. i got hines ward in the 9th rd of every draft. i was looking for a rec and he had a 1000 yds the year before, why not take him.
