Ok I suffered through what I thought was a 2 1/2 hour waste of time last night for a movie that made $155M so I ask you these two questions and maybe it will help me to watch a movie that I have yet to see:

Question #1
Which big box office(over $100M gross) did you feel was one of the weakest movies you ever saw?

Question #2
Which low budget under the radar movie(under $10M gross) did you feel was one of the better movies that you have seen?

Here is a great sight to see Box Office results for any movie:

Also here are my answers:

Question #1 : 2012 --- I have not seen graphics that cheesy since I played Atari.

Question #2 : Suicide Kings ($1.7M) --- A must see for Christopher Walken fans.
Finder's Fee (Straight to DVD) --- Excellent movie for poker fans with some great twists. James Earl Jones and Matthew Lillard star in it.

Lets hear what you got.

Only thing I can think of for the over 100 million is the Phantom Menace. Quite a few I imagine would be under the radar but first to come to mind is Shattered Glass which made only 2.2 million. Story about a National Republic writer who is caught writing a fictional story as fact. Shows up on Bravo quite a bit.

I agree that after the long wait that Menace was a huge letdown and a bomb in my book as well. Thought Clones was only slightly better but I did like the Revenge of Sith.
Shattered Glass was a very solid under the radar flick which also had Hayden Christensen.

Question 2- Oldboy, only made 700,000 here in states, however 14 million worldwide, very fucked up premise

Question 1 - Wild Wild West (Will Smiths worst movie ever)

Question 2 - Man on Wire (favorite indy, doc film)

p.s. if you had asked favorite crappy indy film I would say 2 Days in the Valley starring James Spader and introducing Charlize Theron in a hot white spandex suit the whole movie. Totally copied the style of Pulp Fiction.

I guess you like most waited till it hit the video stores. Cost 175 million to make and only grossed 88 million at the box office:scared . I tried watching it late one night on regular tv and couldnt make it through 15 minutes. To each his own, I liked good luck chuck and it is ranked one of the worst movies of the decade:shrug:

Waterworld didn't crack the magic 100 million mark. As for another under 10 million gem, U-Turn. A rather bizarre but entertaining movie by Oliver Stone.

Manhunter. Only 8.6 million. It was also based on the book 'Red Dragon.' I prefer this version. More style which is to be expected from a Michael Mann film.

Scanning over that list there are some movies that suprise me at how little they did. A great movie like American History X didn't even make 10 million.

Question 1- Any Vin Diesel movie except for Boiler Room

Well Boiler Room made $16M so that is not a qualifier as a bad flick.
Also thought Knockaround Guys was very solid mob flick with Vin but not many saw or even heard of it.
Not a fan of his so called big roles though other than Private Ryan.
