thanks kickserv..

thanks kickserv..

I really think there is some value in playing Etienne here. Hell I would take a shot with almost anyone in this spot against Tyson. He is going to have a meltdown, everything points to it. It is very possible that Etienne wins this by DQ. It is obvious that Mike's mental state is no where close to where it needs to be to fight. If Etienne can stand in there for a few rounds and frustrate Mike, he could easily walk out with the win. Thanks for your help.

a disqualification is not out of the question....from all reports, mike`s training regimen has been less than spartan....if etienne`s chin somehow gets him to the 4th or 5th round,a disqualification is very possible...i don`t see mike allowing himself to take a beating here....i`m sure rather than lose to a pedestrian guy like etienne(o.k.,he`s a little better than that-but,i`m not enntirely sure he`s even a top 10 guy),mike would much prefer to cloud the issue....alot depends on etienne`s chin....he comes to fight....he`ll be right in front of mike....i just wish mike were fighting a guy with a little more boxing ability....an oquendo,maybe.......not a favorable match-up for etienne....that`s why he was chosen....he`s not as big a puncher as some think...and he`s been down 9 times in his last few fights...he does usually get back up....but tyson hits much harder than oquendo or frans(trialhorse)botha...

on the other side ,you have mike in one of his worst"mike funks"....he obviously doesn`t want to be here....

-not trained properly
-a shadow of his former self
-mentally unprepared

vs the right opponent, this would have been an excellent opportunity at between +300 or 400....

still may be worth a small shot...just for the hell of it....if mike gets taken into deep water,i think he could drown...can etienne hang in for awhile?.......that`s the question. ...

some may see this as an opportunity to get mike at a decent price......who has the nads to lay -425 on an unfocused, past his prime, schizophrenic tragedy like mike? a loss here and mike is relegated to clown status....

very sad to see a once great career wasted...

i am by no means suggesting that etienne is a great play here.....not a recommendation....but,if you have a few quid to waste,at these odds, you do have a shot....mike could blow etienne out in the first 3 rounds....wouldn`t surprise me....but,that`s why it`s called gambling....

i have to admit, with all the hoopla,it has become an interesting spectacle that i`m anxious to see....mike still unintentionally(or intentionally?...naw,he`s not that shrewd) seems to be a huge draw....g.l.

Tyson is done...and has been for some time

Tyson is done...and has been for some time

I also put some duckets on Etienne at +425. Tyson's own trainer has been badmouthing Mike as far as his preparedness for the fight. Plus, this guy gets a face tattoo a couple of weeks before fighting? Tyson is definitely a shell of himself and I would guess that right now he is a far inferior version of the Mike who was easily handled by Lennox Lewis. I think there is definitely value in taking these odds. Even if the competition is less than stellar.

MAYBE TYSON ISN'T "MENTALLY" PREPARED TO FIGHT, BUT

ETTIENE CANNOT TAKE A HIT. TYSON CONNECTS ON A COUPLE

OF GOOD PUNCHES AND ITS OVER. EVERYBODY KNOWS ABOUT

THE POWER TYSON HAS, AND HE CAN TAKE SOME GOOD HITS.

PLUS HE'S NUTS...HE WANTS TO MAKE THIS GUY BLEED AND DRIVE

HIM INTO THE GROUND

Well if you like Etienne, here's what I suggest.

I think its pretty safe to say this fight won't go all 12 rounds, but why not take Etienne to win by KO, TKO or disqualification at +400.

If he wins, it should be by one of those, and you get a bit better odds.

You Cliff backers watch out! This is exactly what vegas wants. All the hoopla around the fight. Nobody knows for sure what the hell mike has been doing. You know the video you saw of Mike getting off the plane in Memphis, that wasn't even him. Point is he could have easily been training. He went four good rounds yesterday with his sparring partner and five more today sending his partner to the hospital after an uppercut. Tyson seemed real relaxed at the weigh-in with his son with him. Will tyson fight harder b/c he doesn't want his son see him get KOed. Trainers say he looks fine and ready to fight. This is must win as well for him. If he loses this one it will be over for him. Cliff will get beat down bad Saturday night. Look for a TKO in the 5th or 6th round.

Tyson will not get dQ/ed and he was training fine till last week and his triner never once said a bad word about him and was very pleased the last 3 work outs this week. you have a guy with a glass chin going against a guy with this win will get the lewis rematch because it will sell. He will not waste his shot at 1 more big pay day because of being stupid.

It makes no sense for Etienne to win because then the Tyson - Lewis rematch won't happen. Tyson will knock him out, everyone will say 'wow, Tyson is back in form' and 'The Lewis Tyson rematch may actually be a fight this time'. The fact of the matter is that he wants to get his cash so therefore if he loses this fight, there will be no re-match and his career will be over (even though it really was overs years ago).

Keep pouring the money in on Cliff, Tyson will be a bargain. Etienne won't make it out of the third round. Don't beleive all the hype, Tyson is in good shape and will knock out the Glass head.

as i said before, you are probably right....etienne`s chin is the key....and his style is to stand in and brawl......but,apparently tyson money is flying in....etienne has gone from +300 when tyson disappeared to around +400 now....maybe tyson weighing in at 225(and looking in great shape) had something to do with it....i still couldn`t lay between -450 and -500 on him....what if that tattoo deteriorates after a few good shots?...if it were me wagering on mike,i`d take the tyson by k.o.,stoppage or d.q. prop...i doubt if this one goes to the cards...but as i said, way to rich for my blood....a little scary....but,good luck...
