Mandalay Bay's book is very nice and close to the Excaliber. I think they have a private tram back and forth between Excaliber, Luxor and Mandalay.

Further down the strip, Bellagio is tough to beat for comfort and service but the big daddy is the Las Vegas Hilton Super Book.

GREEN VALLEY RANCH !!!!

Not only is the sports book huge (too many TV's to count), drinks are cheap, ($2 during games), but the poker room is only about 20 steps away. An oyster bar and another restaurant are so close you could throw a golf from the sports bar into the Clam chowder.

What more can you want?

Venetian is solid as they give you a ton of free drinks. My personal favorite. I used to like the Stardust years ago, but not the most comfortable ever. Bellagio over-rated... unless you have a table, it blows.

I like Mandalay Bay as well although it can get very crowded very quickly... I've had my best luck at this book. Wynn is very solid as well, but not the best setup.

Worst: For a big book, MGM Grand is HORRID.

I like the Las Vegas Hilton and Ballys, but most all pretty good.

Word of advice, if you are there for the Super Bowl, a lot of books have reserved areas for their hotel guests, leaving not very good seats for walk-ins...you need to check that out to be sure you'll be able to catch a seat where you would like it. :SIB

Caesars Palace has a good sports book if you have a table, it sucks if you have to stand for an entire afternoon like I did a few months ago. Wherever you are staying call them and reserve a table and you will be fine.

Red Rock is not bad. Everything is closeby. Food, drink, gambling...everything except your room. If you like to hit the video poker machines nearby, or slots...very comfortable.
