no kidding Eric??? is Vegas actually busy over the 4th of July, or were you looking at the *reasonable* aspect of his question as far as the strip goes? i'd NEVER want to vacation in Vegas that time of year with the heat (March and October RULE).....although calling it home would be a different story ;)

its packed out here that week, the whole state of ca. comes here, they up the room rates for that time of the year,no sense paying 200+ a night when you can stay around same place for less then half the price, the way i see it you want safe, clean and good price, you arenot in room that much and can go to the others for free to see and gamble and eat with the extra cash you can see a nice show and still save a 300+ at least if you are staying 3 nights more if your here for the week.

i am a tight ass when it comes to be over charged, when you can see the same thing for free, not like your at the beach your in the middle of freaking no-where at 115 + and if you lucky 100 around 3am if the wind blows.

Thanks Fletcher, You are exactly right, it is just a place to sleep and I don't want to pay $200-$300 more for all the glamour. I will check out the ones you mentioned.
