The way I see it the 2 teams playing the best are the Jets and Da Bears. If there's ever been a year where its anyones superbowl its this year.

The Raiders have played well offensively but are marginal,at best, on dee.

The Ravens try and lose every week but somehow find a way to win.

Someone might say the 49ers, are the best, but they should have lost to Atlanta twice and the Panthers once.

The Redskins can all of a sudden play defense
but their offense can be offensive.

St loo is solid but the Giants and Eagles(and maybe Tampa) have slowed that vaunted offense. Warner gets picked more than Bing Cherries during harvest season and N.O and Sf have proved there defense is still average at best.
In all my years I've never been so perplexed about good vs. bad teams.
What I'm saying is that after watching 11 weeks of NFL, I have no ****ing Clue who's the best.

unscientific, no stats, no aids.

wash
pitt
st louis
clev
oak
philly
n.e.

i would not rate s.f. or chi as contenders for the ring.

best bet to take it all as of now: wash, pitt, clev, n.e.(best balanced, on its way)

i don't think, especially after watching tampa once again play with st louis, that the rams can beat wash, clev or pitt as of today.

did i miss anything?

Don't let this game fool you...Rams are still the best around IMHO.

2. Raiders....Love their offense...Gannon is tough as hell and Brown and Rice still make plays.

3. SF.....They believe they can win any game...Owens best player in game for my money

4. Pitt.... Team most likely to wear down... Bettis has had alot of carries for his age...They go nowhere without him setting up Kordell...Defense is tough.

5. Green Bay....They can run the ball and they have Farve. Gotta like that.

I did forget Pitt. They have played as well as anyone.
Its not one game twofingers, its four.
Giants, Philly, N.O and now Tampa
Don't get me wrong, they have as good a chance as 15 other teams but I would hardly say they're the best. Right now.
I think felonious is on the right path....LET THE CHEERLEADERS FIGHT IT OUT.

Twofingers is right. By just about any Power Rating scale, the Rams are still # 1.

1. St Louis 100
2. Oakland 98.5
3. Pittsburgh 97
4. Green Bay 96
5. Philly 95

Losing one game does not make a team fall from 1st to 6th, like in the NCAA polls.

where is wash? they have to be among the top 3 there. maybe that is why we are getting so many freebies with them, using year-round numbers. n.e. also should be among the top 5-8 as well and won't be surprised if they are among the top 3 in 2 weeks.

wash only needs to be tested against the likes of st louis and oakland, and i do believe they can beat either one today. they have passed test after test, at home, away, different offenses, etc., amply beating the line and apparently getting better, which gives them the edge in the final stretch.

i do agree about the one game comparison, but seeing st louis' obvious problems with strong defenses, which we have witnessed before, how can they be the top contender if they stand a pretty good chance of being stopped in the playoffs?

i guess i am mixing ratings and superbowl.

I can agree on 1-3 in the power ratings but in no way agree with GB or especially Philly. GB's dee has been shredded over the last several weeks and Philly's offense is one of the worst in the NFL. Mcnabb is as inconsistent as Vodka Collins in NY.
