Bet on 2009 BCS champion at betED.com

NCAA College Football betting fans know that even though the season doesn?t kick off until September, it?s never too early to get in on the action.

To that end, betED.com is offering early lines on which College Football team will win the 2009 BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 8, 2009 at Dolphin Stadium.

The USC Trojans, who many felt should have been in the BCS Title Game this past season, are the favorite at +300.

The Trojans, ranked No. 6 in the nation heading into Bowl season last year, destroyed No. 13 Illinois Illini 49-17 in the Rose Bowl, a convincing win for a team many observers felt was unofficially the best team in College Football.

The Georgia Bulldogs are the next top team to win the BCS title, at +450. The No. 5 Bulldogs (11-2 last season), who also felt they deserved a shot at the BCS championship, made a statement with their 41-10 win over the previously unbeaten Hawaii Warriors (12-1) in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

The Oklahoma Sooners are +500 to win it all next season. The No. 4 Sooners (11-3) lost 48-28 to the No. 9 West Virginia Mountaineers (11-2) in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

Other tops picks include the Florida Gators at +650. Last season, No. 12 Florida lost 41-35 to the Michigan Wolverines in the Capital One Bowl.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, the 2008 BCS champs, the LSU Tigers, are down the list of favorites to win next year?s title game, at +1200.

The No. 2 Tigers (12-2) beat No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes 38-24 in the 2008 BCS National Title Game. LSU is the only team with two losses during the regular season to play in a BCS National Championship game.

Ohio State, which had lost the National Championship to the Florida Gators by a 41-14 the previous season, is +900 to win the title in 2009.
