being a current player at betonline, I can tell you that payouts are a major headache currently. not sure what type of money you plan on playing with but I have been given run arounds on every payout I have requested there aside from one small one.

I'm not a player at sportsbettingoline but, have heard good things.

A few other thoughts as I can endorse DSI, JustBet, WagerWeb and 1Vice very strongly...can't say the same for BetonLine:.

I wouldn't consider any of these to be strong "dog" books and there are no payout issues at all.

DSI...gets their lines up early in the week and has lots of contests which are entertaining to play...has tightened up credit card deposits which is a hassle.

JustBet...lots of betting options, can parlay NFL quarters which sometimes is useful and can buy half points in parlays.

WagerWeb...good software although sometimes is clunky right before CFB or NFL gametime. They don't post alot of CBB totals...overall, very satisfied.

1Vice....good, fast website, great service and they treat you like they want to keep you as a customer. Lots of betting options although they don't post lines on as many CBB games as others. No complaints about playing here.

Another positive with choosing a book on the sponsor list here is that, I've read about situations where someone had an issue and the admiinistrators here have worked to get resolution. I have never needed that but, it is nice to know that option is available.

I'd stay far far away from BetOnline.

The customer service is terrible and they're known for giving a runaround when it comes to payouts. Also, withdrawal fees are ridiculous. I've had to wait almost 2 months for a payout, and if you google "BetOnline Withdrawal problems" or something similar, you'd be immediately turned off by what you found. They seem very shady.

I actually came to this section today in hopes if soliciting opinions on a quality, reliable online book.

No poker, as I'm not disciplined enough to stay away from the tables (and I suck at poker).

Just looking for a reputable site that pays out within a reasonable timeframe.

Anyone?

Edit: I'm a US player.,

Edit: I speak from experience with BetOnline. I've used them for a while now and finally got tired of their antics.

I asked them to close my account, but they insist I resend in my DL, Credit Card front and back, and utility bill prior to doing so - EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE THE INFO ON FILE.

But I'm mostly getting away from them because of the ridiculous payouts. If you're requesting just a few hundred via MoneyGram/WU you might be okay... but expect a 2+ month wait if you want a 1, 2k check.

Also, withdrawals are "cancelled" for no reason, requiring you to start all over again.

Cannot go wrong with Bookmaker,

or 1Vice.ag (no poker room)

maybe Jack can help you with BetOnline.
