Bet the 2009 Grey Cup at betED.com

Talk about a football frenzy.

While the NCAAF season nears the conference championships and bowl season, and the NFL is in the midst of Week 12, there?s also the Canadian Football League championship, the Grey Cup, happening on Sunday.

The 2009 Grey Cup, the 97th annual, pits the Saskatchewan Roughriders against the Montreal Alouettes at McMahon Stadium in Calgary (6:30 pm ET, ESPN360.com, Comcast).

Montreal is a 9.5-point favorite and the over/under is 55.5 in Grey Cup Betting Odds at betED.com.

betED.com also has First Half Odds, with Montreal at -5.5 and the total at 28.

Montreal had the best record in the CFL this season at 15-3 SU and 11-7 ATS, including a perfect 9-0 SU at home. Saskatchewan was 10-7-1 both straight up and against the spread.

The Alouettes are 6-4 SU and 5-4-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings with the Roughriders. Montreal won 34-25 the last time the teams met on Aug. 21 this season, failing to cover as 11.5-point home favorites.

That game marked the fourth time in the past six meetings that the Alouettes have failed to cover the spread.

In the West Final, the Roughriders defeated last year?s Grey Cup champion, the Stampeders, 27-17 as a 2.5-point favorite last Sunday. The score went under the total of 54.5.

Roughriders pivot Darian Durant passed for 204 yards with three touchdowns and receiver Andy Fantuz caught five passes for 89 yards with a TD.

The Alouettes had no trouble disposing of the B.C. Lions in the East Final, cruising to a 56-18 win as a 10.5-point favorite, also last Sunday. Montreal managed to push the score over the total of 53.5 by itself.

Anthony Calvillo passed for 312 yards with five touchdowns and an interception for Montreal, and Jamel Richardson caught five passes for 65 yards with two touchdowns in that win.
