Bet the ?Subway Series? at betED.com

The New York Yankees face the rival New York Mets this weekend in the latest installment of the Subway Series, and this one includes one of those crazy, crosstown doubleheaders.

The Yankees hosted the Mets at Yankee Stadium for the first game of the four-game series at 2 pm Friday, after which the teams will travel across the city to play the second tilt at Shea Stadium at 8 pm.

The Mets will host the Yankees for the third and fourth games of the series on Saturday and Sunday.

betED.com has the Mets as a -144 moneyline, 1?-point (+140) favorite in the second game Friday night. The over/under total is 9?.

Check out betED.com on Saturday and Sunday for moneyline, point-spread and over/under odds for the third and fourth games.

The teams met last month, with the Mets taking two of two games. The third game of the series was rained out and Friday afternoon?s game in the Bronx was the make-up for that tilt.

The second game will feature two veteran pitchers squaring off, as Pedro Martinez will be on the mound for the Mets and will face newly acquired Sidney Ponson for the Yankees.

Martinez is 2-1 with a 6.57 ERA this season. He?s 11-10 with a 3.03 ERA in his career against the Yankees.

Ponson, acquired from the Texas Rangers, is 4-1 with a 3.88 ERA this season. He is 1-1 with a 2.86 ERA against the Mets in his career.
