MLB:

INTERLEAGUE:

SATURDAY:

CUBS (34-29)

3:15 PM
FOX

YANKEES (31-32)

The Cubbies have quietly overcome major injuries to the pitching staff and have climbed back into second place behind the Cardinals. There is even talk of 1B Derek Lee (17HR, 53RBI, .377) winning the Triple Crown! The Yankees look lifeless and Steinbrenner is getting antsy.

MARLINS (32-30)

3:15 PM
FOX

ANGELS (37-27)

The first place Angels are led by Bartolo Colon (8-3, 3.09) and Vladimir Guerrero (8HR, 29RBI, .327 in limited action.) and host the ?Fightin fish from Florida? as Dontrelle Willis (11-2, 2.06) and sluggers Carlos Delgado (13HR, 46RBI, .324) and Miguel Cabrera (10HR, 40RBI, .339).

PHILLIES (36-29)

3:15 PM
FOX

A?S (26-37)

The red hot Phillies, winners of 9 out of the last 10 head into the Bay Area led by the All-Star bats of Bobby Abreu (16HR, 47RBI, .323) and Pat Burrell (14HR, 55RBI, .329). The A?s are led by trade bait Eric Chavez (10HR, 37RBI) and are in rebuild mode.

ESPN SUNDAY NIGHT GAME OF THE WEEK:

DODGERS (33-30)

8:05 PM
ESPN

WHITE SOX (42-22)

The Dodgers were supposed to be down this year, but here they are only 2 ? games out of 1st place and playing good ball. Milton Bradley (10HR,26RBI,.298) and Jeff Kent (13HR, 50RBI,.287) are both strong players. The White Sox are the best team in baseball thanks mainly to their scorching start. Can they keep it up?

NBA:

FINALS:

The Pistons rebounded nicely after dropping both games in San Antonio. The front court match-up of Tim Duncan vs. Rasheed and Ben Wallace is a great one. My favorite part is watching defensive stoppers Bruce Bowen mark Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince blanket Manu Ginobli.

TRIVIA ANSWER:

Gaylord Perry pitched for 8 different teams over 21 seasons, and was a 20 game winner five times. He was the first man to ever win the Cy Young award in both leagues, threw a no hitter beating Bob Gibson and the Cardinals 1-0 on September 17th, 1968. The one thing he did not do however was throw a no hitter in both leagues.
