The weekly
BetCRIS.com review is back after an unforeseen months break, which we apologies to our avid readers.

The NFL is well and truly heading towards the business end of the season and it took all of the 10 weeks so far before we encountered our first real big NFL Sunday. With upsets like Minnesota beating the NY Giants, and the Packers beating Atlanta, our regular 'Teaser' bettors had a rough day, and the parlay bettors were not far behind. College produced some mixed results, but with a couple of late games going the publics way, it swung the day back to in their favor for a small loss to us. Most times the late games can be very critical to us, as players will usually play those games to try and 'get out' for the day if the early results haven't been good for them.

Best games for the public..LSU at Alabama was a game with great 2 way action, but the only problem for us was the point spread that attracted the money. LSU opened a 3 point favorite, and closed a 3 point favorite with everybody either buying the game to 2.5 on LSU or to +3.5 on Alabama. As you would expect when LSU won in overtime, it was the worst result possible for us.
All the 'wise guys' around seemed to like one underdog in particular on Saturday and that was Iowa State. Colorado opened a 3 point favorite but closed lower favored by 1.5 points. Normally we enjoy the underdogs if they win, but this game was an exception for us.
Michigan winning 41-14 over Indiana which covered the spread of 27 and the total of 52 was great for the public as was the late 'Get-out' game of Hawaii beating Utah State 50-23. Hawaii opened a 15 point favorite and closed higher after allot of money to be 18. The total closed at 61.5 so it finished with the favorite covering the spread and the total going over and ofcourse allot of happy customers.

NFL Sunday did produce a few good games for the general bettor, and the best two were Tampa bay beating Washington 36-35 and Denver winning 31-17 over Oakland. The Tampa Bay game was a bad game for us mainly due to the spread 'bouncing' between Tampa Bay being a favorite, then Washington being a favorite, so the worst result for us was a win by 1 point. Denver was a case of the public not really willing to bet on the hapless Raiders, and rather betting on the currently consistent Broncos.
Best games for the house..Oaklahoma was a heavy 10 point favorite at home to Texas A & M when we opened it for betting and the public drove the spread to close at 12.5 points after some seriously big bets. The public looked to have an easy winner at quarter time with Oaklahoma up 28-7, but Texas rallied to only go down by 6 points 36-30.
Oaklahoma State pulled a major upset by beating the heavily favored Texas Tech at home. Texas Tech closed a 22 point favorite after opening at the initial 21 points but Oaklahoma State were out of the blocks quickly and held on to win 24-17.

NFL Sunday as I wrote earlier was great for us, in particular with Minnesota beating the NY Giants 24-21 in a very close match. I would say the Giants bettors would feel hard done by considering that the Vikings didn't even score a offensive touchdown and the Giants scored 2! Late money came for the Vikings, but anytime we have a 8.5 or 9.5 point favorite losing outright, the parlay and teaser bettors get taken to the cleaners.
Green Bay winning over Atlanta 33-25 was a similar story, but being after the Viking game, most of the damage had already been done.
A surprisingly good result for us was also the Carolina Panthers winning 30-3 over the NY Jets. Considering all the Jets injuries, we thought there would be no one interested in the +9 points we offered on the Jets when we opened it for betting, but we were wrong. The jets attracted good support, and so much so that the line closed down to 7.5 points. They started well, and it was a close game early until Carolina blew away in the final quarter.

Betting is really heating up now with both the College and NFL having played half of their respect seasons. Injuries as always are having a big impact on some of the teams, but it seems most bettors are keeping up to date with the information and we try to help with some of the latest information in our sports news section.
Until next week, Good Luck.
