What a weekend of NFL Football! Sunday would have to go down as one of the worst decisions I have seen in NFL ever. Pittsburgh nearly had the game taken from their grasp mainly due to a ?Challenged play?. The play was ruled on the field as an interception, and awarded to Pittsburgh. I don?t know what replay the umpires were looking at, but it was clearly a different one to the rest of the world. They overturned the on field decision and awarded an incomplete pass to Indy instead of the interception. Pittsburgh would have all but rapped up the game with the score at 21-10, but with the overturned decision and a couple of plays later a 2 point converted touchdown, Indianapolis was back from nowhere to rail 21-18 and a healthy 4.30 minutes left on the clock.

To say that a Pittsburgh win was going to be big for us was an understatement, with Teaser bettors especially keen to ?tease? Indianapolis to -2.5 and -3 points all week. Our last scare was when Pittsburgh held Indianapolis in what looked to be their final push to victory and after missing the 4th down conversion, they turned the ball over to Pittsburgh within 2 yards of another score. The twists in this game were not over though as Jerome Bettis somehow fumbled the ball with just over 1 minute to play! Roethlisberger was the lone man to beat for the Indy defender, but luckily for us he held him up enough for Pittsburgh to stop the breakaway defensive touchdown. Indianapolis drove to within field goal range and overtime seemed inevitable but Vanderjagt missed a 46 yard attempt and the rest is history.

Overall we had a great week in NFL with Pittsburgh winning being our best result.

NBA and NHL was nothing special with many of our regular bettors picking a few winners. College basketball however was a great week for us and more than made up for the lackluster NBA results. Interestingly it was our ?wise guys? who had a tough week betting in the College Basketball.

One customer who I have to mention this week was a regular parlay bettor we have. He played College and NBA basketball 2, 3, 4 and 5 team parlays but with all of them containing Denver -3 points and Carolina +3 points in the NFL Divisional playoff games. He won for the week a staggering $600,000! Congratulations must go to him as I myself struggle to pick 1 winner, let alone 2, 3, 4 or 5!

Washington at Seattle

Seattle was a popular pick especially with our Teaser bettors. Washington just didn?t have enough offensive weapons and even with Shaun Alexander leaving the game; it wasn?t enough for to halt a Seattle win. Many players did well betting the game total to go under the 41 or 42 points. Result- Seattle 20-10

New England at Denver

This was another game with great two way betting support. All we wanted was Denver not to win by 3 points which would have been nasty for us. A few rare turnovers by New England proved to be their downfall and Denver came away 14 point winners. Result- Denver 27-13

Pittsburgh at Indianapolis

A terrific result as I explained above, but not without a few questionable referee calls. Result- Pittsburgh 21-18

Carolina at Chicago

Many of our ?Wise? customers were all over Carolina. They could not resist the +3 points. Chicago opened -3 (-115) but closed -3 (+110) with plenty of Carolina support. We had to move our spread to -2.5 where we received a flood of Chicago money. Needless to say a Chicago win by 3 would have been a disaster. The game total was a very low 31.5 points when we opened it during the week and was immediately bet to go under, but when news of decent weather in Chicago became available, we received lots of ?over? money .Result- Carolina 29-21

Until next week
