We are now down to the final four teams in this year?s NCAA Basketball tournament. This week LSU and George Mason provided the biggest upsets by defeating the highly favored Duke 62-54 and Connecticut 86-84 respectively. Our customers edged out on top this week with College Basketball with a few big winners. Two customers alone won well over $500,000 in this past week just betting the tournament games.

The winning trend for our customers also carried over into NBA with many games this week ?falling? on the spread which was offered. Parlay bettors in particular had a great week betting our ?True Odds? parlays.

This week is the final week of Exhibition baseball with Sunday being the first game of the season, Chicago White Sox at home to Cleveland. Betting on the futures and especially the Regular Season wins has really heated up with teams like Atlanta, Yankees and Dodgers having lots of action on both the over and the under of their respective Season Total numbers.

Tiger Woods threw a scare into the betting public by missing his practice session and scheduled news conference on Wednesday. Later on Wednesday it was reported he flew to be with his Ill Father and there was much doubt as to whether Tiger wood play in the Players Championship. Considering Tiger was +475 to win the tournament, his withdrawal would affect the odds of the other big names dramatically. Tournament match-ups with Woods against Singh, Els and Mickelson dropped like a stone with everybody hearing the news. Woods did however fly back in time for his Tee off, but many bettors were hoping he would not be focused on Golf, but instead thinking about his father. I?m sure this did weight on his mind with Tiger putting up a fight, but not the usual Tiger as he finished below Singh, Els and Mickelson with Stephen Ames winning the tournament. Hopefully Tigers fathers? health will be ok especially with the US Masters only two weeks away.

Until next week,

Shane Catford
