betED.com spices up Sweet Sixteen

The 2008 NCAA Tournament's Sweet Sixteen gets going Thursday and betED.com is offering odds on which teams will emerge from the Regional Brackets of March Madness and advance to the Final Four.

Basketball betting fans can also wager on which of the Sweet Sixteen teams will win the 2008 NCAA Men?s Championship.

betED.com is also featuring its Interactive Tournament Bracket, where bettors will find the latest odds, scores and stats to stay on top of who's moving on to the next round.

With the four No. 1 seeds all making it through the first two rounds, it?s no surprise they are considered the favorites to win their brackets, and are the top four favorites to win it all on April 7 in San Antonio.

The North Carolina Tar Heels, the East No. 1 seed and No. 1 overall, take on No. 4 Washington State Cougars at 8 pm ET Thursday in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Tar Heels blew out their opponents in the first two rounds and are -150 moneyline favorites to win the East, and +275 to win the NCAA Championship.

The Louisville Cardinals are +275 to win the East (+1400 for the Championship), followed by the Tennessee Volunteers (+325; +1400) and the Cougars (+700; +4500).

The Pac-10 Champion UCLA Bruins, the No. 1 seed in the West Region, are -300 to win the West and +275 to win the Championship. They face the unheralded Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (+1400; +12000), who stunned everyone with victories in the first two rounds.

Xavier Musketeers and the West Virginia Mountaineers are both +450 to win the West, and +2100 and +2500, respectively, to win the men?s title.

In the South, No. 1 seed Memphis Tigers are +140 to win the region and advance to the Final Four, and +550 to win the tournament. On Friday, they?ll face the No. 5 Michigan State Spartans, who are +450 to win the region and +2500 to win the tournament. The Texas Longhorns are +220 and +1000, while the Stanford Cardinal are +250 and +1400.

And in the Midwest, the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks are -225 and +300. They face the No. 12 Villanova Wildcats (+1000; +7500) at 9:40 pm ET on Friday in Detroit.
The No. 3 Wisconsin Badgers (+250; +1500) and upstart Davidson Bulldogs (+800; +600) round out the Midwest region.
