betED Props is giving bettors the opportunity to weigh in on the controversy swirling around U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

Gonzales is being pressured to resign by Democratic lawmakers and even some fellow Republicans over a controversial decision to fire federal prosecutors.

Bettors can go to betED Props and wager on whether Gonzales will still be Attorney General of the United States on July 4th 2007 (Yes +120; No -170).

A CBS poll two weeks ago found that 63 percent of Americans who have been following the story think Gonzales is not telling the truth about the firings of the eight U.S. attorneys.

During a recent visit to Indianapolis, Gonzales was peppered with question about whether he will resign or not, but he kept avoiding the queries.

"Distraction or not, I remain focused on my job, and this is my job," the nation's top cop said at one of two 10-minute news conferences in Indianapolis.

On Saturday, when Gonzales attended his law school reunion at Harvard, the students were not informed. But some found out anyway and heckled him.

His visit to Indianapolis went more smoothly. Gonzales made no public appearances. His motorcade sliced through traffic with the assist of motorcycle police.

Gonzales said that in the wake of the massacre at Virginia Tech, President Bush asked him and other Cabinet members to tour the country and meet with local leaders about how to stem violence.
