I started using this site this year and I liked the layout and the customer service they provided. I got to my goal and decided to cash out and they charged me $40 for closing the account. It had nothing to do with how much I bet or anything - they said this was a standard charge for closing any account. This might be "normal" but it was surprising to me.

They said that if I kept $300 in the account the cash out would be free but if I wanted it all they charge $40

more than $300?

One free withdrawal of $300, or more, per calendar month via cashier's check. Fees apply for subsequent withdrawals, and withdrawals of less than $300, during a calendar month.

send your account id# to jack to look into it..

Geez, I thought he was being charged just to close his account for good. Most likely they require you to leave a % of your balance in the account in order to get the free payout. I'm sure its in the rules somehwere. If not, you have a valid concern.

I didn't see it in the rules. Luckily Jack is looking into it for me.

Thanks Jack!

I had the same thing happen at wagerweb. They promote a free payout. Two things with this. #1 You have to keep 30% if your bablance in the account. I didn;t read the rules and was told this. #2 They deduct the shipping costs and reimburse you through the free play balance. This I don't care about since I'm able to get a good comeback on the freeplay. For every $111 in free play money I could turn it into $105 cash without a hitch.

i sent an email a few days ago. the fee is correct. the free payouts are for customers and since you're closing your acct, you're not a customer. yes, i'm finding more than a few books with this rule now.

Big Deal. Do you think its free to be tranferring $$ via DHL? The $40 is what it costs them to mail it. You cash your balance out and expect them to pay the transfer fee?? You're whats known as a "pain in the ass." If the $40 is blowing "your goal" up, you need to find a local or bet w/your sister. I would rather a book run a sound business and be solvent. I don't want my boys paying $40 a pop to send smalltimers change 2 times a month around the world. If you pull it all out pay it.

I never said the $40 was "blowing my goal". I was just surprised because other books never charged me when I closed a account.....but thanks for your two cents.
