Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway

BetOnline will be offering Race match-ups, odds to win, and much more on Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway

Kyle Busch?s first win of the season vaulted him four spots in the series driver standings last weekend, and he?ll be looking to move up again on Sunday afternoon when he takes to the track in the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway.
Betonline will be offering Race match-ups, odds to win, and much more.

Gordon, Dale Jarrett, and Bobby Labonte each have three career wins at Pocono, while Jeremy Mayfield has won there twice. Stewart and Ryan Newman have earned a single victory each at Pocono Raceway; both grabbed those victories during the 2003 season.

Jimmie Johnson: +700
Finishing 10th in June at Pocono, the No. 48 team has been pretty quiet lately. Sunday's race could be the one in which he slips back into ictory Lane for the first time in a Cup point race since Talladega in May.

Jeff Burton: +1300
I've been touting Burton in recent weeks. If he hadn't gotten caught speeding at Loudon, he had a good chance to get his first win since Phoenix in 2001. Finishing ninth at Pocono in June, he should be good there again this week.

Carl Edwards: +1200
Last June's winner in his first attempt at Pocono, Edwards appears to be suddenly reborn in the Race to the Chase after a runner-up finish at New Hampshire.

Greg Biffle: +800
On a really big roll with only one finish outside the top 11 since Richmond in May, Biffle's momentum should continue this week at Pocono, where he finished sixth.

Jeff Gordon: +1200
Although his third and most recent win at Pocono came in 1998, Gordon will be a lot better this time. With seven to go, he's not going to miss the Chase for the second year in a row. I had his pit area in June, and they didn't have a handle on the car. It was loose a lot, and he lost his brakes, crashing hard into the Turn 1 wall. If he has any trepidation, it won't be from hitting the wall in Turn 1, it will be from not handling well.

Pit Notes
Only 154 points separates third from 12th in the standings, and the biggest swing in one race is 156 points. Aside from the top two guys ? Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth ? there could be a lot of movement. The pressure is enormous and very tangible. Greg Biffle talked about it several times last weekend. They're all looking at the points and talking about them. I don't know that emotions spill over on the race track any more or any less, but I can tell you that some good race teams aren't going to make that Chase again.

NASCAR?s schedule for the month of August features the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard (Aug 6), the Sirius Satellite Radio at the Glen (Aug 13), the GFS Marketplace 400 (Aug 20), and the Sharpie 500 (Aug 26). The Chase for the Nextel Cup gets underway at New Hampshire International Speedway in the Sylvania 300 on Sunday, September 17.
