The online sports betting community is excited now that the SEC football season has gotten under way. There have been a couple of exciting contests already and here are some more picks for your sportsbook for this Saturday's games:
Florida Gators @ Kentucky Wildcats
It has been an interesting week for the Florida Gators. They were expected to absolutely destroy the Tennessee Volunteers last week but they only won by 10 points. After that, head coach Urban Meyer told the press that many members from his team are suffering from the flu. It's hard to gauge whether that was just an excuse or whether that is actually the truth.
Nonetheless, the Gators are once again a huge favorite as they head out on the road to Kentucky. The Wildcats are OK but they aren't anything special. They will be at home but that won't nearly be enough for this game.
The Gators are coming off of a lackadaisical performance, which means they are going to want to amp it up this week. Keep in mind that the Wildcats defense is not that great at tackling, which means this game could get out of hand very early.
The Gators will be in control the entire way through as they win by more than 20.
Racebook picks: Gators
Arkansas Razorbacks @ Alabama Crimson Tide
The Arkansas Razorbacks had a good opportunity to make a statement last week in the SEC to emphasize that they have returned, but they ended up making a different statement. The Razorbacks were presented with their most important game in the Bobby Petrino era and they were at home for that contest, yet they still ended up stumbling to the Georgia Bulldogs. The Hogs had a 21-10 lead and still blew it, allowing Georgia's Joe Cox to throw for five touchdown passes.
This week, they are in for a much different animal.
While Georgia is a decent SEC team, they aren't the cream of the crop in the conference. Alabama is.
The Razorbacks offense is quite explosive but they haven't faced anyone like Alabama this year. The Crimson Tide could have the best defense in the nation and the way that quarterback Greg McIlroy is playing, some people might say they are the best team in the nation. At home, the Crimson Tide won't have any problems getting the win. Arkansas just isn't ready talent-wise for this game.
Betting System Pick: Alabama
