Using the NFL Week 3 totals as a barometer, it looks like we can expect more high-scoring this weekend. Through the first two weeks of the regular season, the average combined score was 48.6 points. So it shouldn?t come as a surprise that this weekend?s average total is a robust 45.6.*

The total on the Sunday night Patriots-Ravens game is a healthy 49.5 points. By my records, the Ravens have never played in a regular season game with a total that high. Coming off their embarrassing home loss to the Cardinals last week, the Patriots will look to rebound as 2.5-point dogs.

Some of the other games that will get the most action tomorrow are Falcons (+3) vs. Chargers, Texans (-2) vs. Broncos and Steelers (-3.5) vs. Raiders.*

Congrats to the Washington Nationals for clinching a playoff spot for the first time ever. Even with Steven Strasburg done for the season, they are +200 to win the National League and +500 to win the World Series. Meanwhile, the Reds are the +180 favorite to win the NL and the Texas Rangers are the +375 favorite to win the World Series.

The UFC is finally back in action tonight with light heavyweight champ Jon Jones (-760) putting his belt on the line versus the fast fists of Vitor Belfort (+585). The flyweight championship is up for grabs as Demetrious Johnson (+225) takes on Joseph Benavidez (-265). In what has all the making to be a slugfest, smack-talking Brit Michael Bisping is a -165 favorite versus the heavy hands of Brian Stann (+145).*
