Every Saturday college football just owns me. My question is... Is betting on cfb smart/worthwhile ? I'm not going to go into specific games (tcu ml @ bay, nd ml @ fst, kty 2nd h ml today) but Most games have a lot in common. I don't believe in fixes, there are probably 1-2 a year but in weak conferences/games, not on national tv.
The things working against (or sometimes for?)
1. Biased calls. Not aimed for spreads but for a team. Every game the refs have the power to call it loose or tight. Same exact play one week can be called interference, the next week it's not called
2. Crazy stupid shit. The athletes are not as good as the pros obviously and it shows. You can handicap a game all you want but when an onside kick is returned for a td or a team has 6 fumbles there is no handicapping that.
Obviously the option is not to bet. I just see too many variables in the college game. Unless you're extremely lucky I don't see how anyone can win week in and week out.
