The way i see it betting on golf, you have to expect to lose when you place your bet. There are so many players you have to be extremely lucky to hit the jackpot.Although he is the worlds no.1 I have never have and never will odds of 2/1 are shocking.I have become slowly disillusioned with betting outight. My first bet this year was in the Tucson Open when i bet Kevin Sutherland at 20/1 after the first round. He was beaten by some unknown called Willis. The Sutherland brothers are just journey-men and won`t be having any more of my money, they shoot low first round then disappear. One player who i fancy to win the year is Greg Kraft, he can shoot low.I also like Chris Di Marco.I refuse to bet outright odds below 33/1.

As you live in the U.K what other sports do you bet on?.I bet football, golf and love betting on the NFL.My real area of knowledge is Sunday League cricket which without sounding arrogant i`m good at.On football i only bet trebles no more than that, and i`m also a season ticket holder at Luton Town F.c.I live in Derby.
all the best

Would add to that UK list: Bookie Busters

Found it last month and they even have a separate forum for golf

Haven't had the time of late to check in there too often, but seem to be a small gang of knowledgeable posters there.

Ian, or anyone else checking them out, if you find anything of interest over at Sports Advisor or Bookie Busters, could you post it over here for us all?

Thanks

i post in there all the time, ive tried for months to drum up a bit of golf wagering but most people on it are football/am football/racing types.

however, i post my football bets as i punt Spread betting Performances in live games and have a healthy profit there.
