Bettors Love Big Brown in Preakness

By SPORTSBETTING.COM

Saturday?s running of the 133rd Preakness Stakes features one of the more lopsided Triple Crown odds boards we?ve seen. Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown is the reason the board is so top-heavy, as he sits at 1-4 to win.

The relatively inexperienced colt will line up in the gates vs. 12 other hopefuls at the Pimlico Race Course and make his way around the 1 3/16 mile track. He will be trying to win his fifth straight career start, fresh off the biggest victory of his young life, a Kentucky Derby win a couple of weeks ago.

Starting from post seven, a much better post position than the 20-spot in the Derby, jockey Kent Desormeaux will again be riding him. Desormeaux has a Preakness win to his name, as he rode Real Quiet to a victory in the 1998 Preakness.

Big Brown has attracted a whopping 68% of the all the early action at SPORTSBETTING.COM.

Behindatthebar is the closest contender, according to the odds, as he is at 7-1 heading into the weekend. He?s won his last two starts, with both being impressive trips around the track. This 3-year old has attracted 11% of the early volume.

Gayego will be looking for a much better showing in this race. He is the only other Kentucky Derby entrant to continue on to the Preakness. This horse can run, but his dismal showing at the Derby (17th out of 20) has bettors scratching their heads. He currently has odds of 10-1 on him. Gayego has grabbed 6% of the early wagering volume.

The one longshot that is receiving some attention is Macho Again at 25-1, who has 4% of the overall action so far.

SPORTSBETTING.COM has a free cash promo for the Preakness Stakes.
If Big Brown wins you will win a Free $25.

It?s this simple: If Big Brown wins to keep the Triple Crown alive, all Preakness Stakes bettors at SPORTSBETTING.COM will receive a free $25 cash prize into their account.

There is also a 100% Match Bonus For The Preakness Stakes going.

Post-time for the big race is 6:15 p.m. (est) and it will be televised on NBC.

Enjoy the race, as it looks good that we will have a horse going for the Triple Crown when the Belmont Stakes is run.
