American got Destroyed Monday by the Czech Republic
The USA where slaughtered 3-0 against the Czechs Monday, but it was a wash for the Books, as even money was bet all around. The books did win money on the Over, as the public were lopsided on the Under. Not the start America wanted, as they now will be hard pressed to make it through the 1st round. The Czechs on the other hand continued their high scoring ways and looked great in their World Cup Opener.
Italy looked like Italy beating Ghana 2-0
What a typical Italian Football game. Get a goal early and sit on it as long as possible. The books did not have a stellar time with this game, as everyone and their mother was on Italy and the Under. Italy had no problem putting away Ghana, winning 2-0 and missing on many more scoring chances.
Who to Play for Tuesday?s Games
Korea Even vs Toga +300
I must admit, I don?t really know that much about either of these teams, other than Korea has high hopes in this tournament and can score a lot of goals. BetWWTS has the Over listed at 2.5 +120 and I think that is a steal. This should be a wide open affair with Korea winning 2-1 or 3-1, giving us the Over, no problem.
France -140 vs Switzerland +450
The Swiss played France twice in Qualification and drew them 0-0 in Paris and 1-1 at home. I like both Switzerland and France advancing from this Group, but I think France will win this game 1-0. My favorite bet of the day is the Under, listed at Under 2.5 -150 at BetWWTS. The most fascinating part of this matchup is which French team are going to show up, will it be the mercurial side which won the cup in 1998, or will it be the overpaid spoilt brats from 2002 who were home before the postcards.
Brazil -250 vs Croatia +750
This match is the most awaited of the tournament, with billions of true football fans tuning in to watch the best team in the world (BRAZIL) and willing them to put on a spectacular show. Don?t however completely write off the Croats who are a fine team in their own right. I would rather play the Over 2.5, than lay -250 at BetWWTS, but this should be an exciting football affair with at least 3 goals scored and Brazil winning.
