I will take a mediocre big 10 team such as Northwestern to beat a 3rd level mAC team such as BG anyday..... I beleive BG is the 3rd or 4th best team in the MAC behind Miami, N.Ill., and possibly Marshall. Gentlemen here is your first dog on the moneyline in this years bowl games. I don't post much so take these for what you want

Northwestern straight-up

I know CWood97 knows what I am talking about.......

Good Luck everybody...

Adding a parlay
BG/NWestern over 55.5
V.Tech/Cal under 56

That theory doesn't hold water when you compare common opponents.........BG went into Lafayette and beat Purdue..........Northwestern played on the same field a month later and got thei ass handed to them. BG also went into Columbus and should have beaten OSU. I think BG rolls easily today. NW can't score and that doesn't bode well against Josh Harris....Hell, Penn St shut NW out for three and half quarters. BG is an easy winner today...don't miss out with your Big Boy vs. Little brother theory.

Good Luck

Scotty NW :nono:

Line has been bet down from 8 to 6 now, and I'm leaning the other way (to BG) right now. I'll post my play a little later. Don't forget that this one will be a heavy BG partisan corwd.

CWood see my nfl thread again, please

I think BG is down after getting their butts handed to them twice by Miami......Plus they may be over-confident against NW...I believe NW doesn't want to go under .500 for the season and BG struggled against E.Mich who is down right awful

slick nick:

ive got a very slight lean to northwestern in this one, but id have to agree with wilson -- seems like youre trying to convince yourself that bgsu is a bad team. they were clearly the 2nd best team in the mac this year. the drop off after miami and bgsu was pretty steep. and as far as bowling green struggling with eastern michigan, i think you can look on every times schedule in the country and find a game where they were going through the motions. they were never threatened in that game, and they rang up 500 yards of total offense in a 33-20 win. thats not exactly "struggling".

I guess you guys may be right, but I feel with so many people on BG's jock and the line dropping from 8 to 6.5 there has got to be something fishy.........Everyone is on the over as well.....Where is Hellah10???? Could use his input

When I see how N W is so happy to be here because they really thought they would have to stay home. Emotion to there side. When I see there top two recivers that missed 8 and 9 games will play that helps NW with there spred off's alot. NW schedule was tougher. I say +7 in a 3 or 4 point game looks inviteing. But should be a small play. There are better ones coming.

I'm always concerned when a division team ( Big 10) is a DOG and a power rating of that division is 12.5 points higher then the favorite( Bowling Green) in the MAC division.

However the power rating for BG vs Northwestern is 11.3 higher.
This rating includes strength of schedule, rushing stats, and etc.

Northwestern had ONE good game at home beating Wisky, and in my opinion not that goood of a team, the rest of the games they won were bottom feeders, Illini, Penn st, and Indiana, to get to a bowl game, not real impressive.
The only reason the spread isn't at 10 to 12 is because of the division rankings.
Also Jason Wright RB for NW has/had an ankle injury...probably will play today ...he could be slow today.

I expect BG to score 5 touchdowns and couple of field goals and hope Northwestern can get 17 points . I like the over..better then the side.
Possible option:
tease 6 points
gl

BG -1 and over 49
