Big question on everybody's mind is OU-Fla..
Has Okie an answer for Teebow? Seems like running good QB an issue as well as special teams...what does the crystal ball say?
Florida by DD?
I know that you were asking Freeze, but since I was so dead on the money about KU - I'll throw my 2 pennies in.
I think that OU will likely try to make Tebow beat them through the air. The man is a stud, with an underrated freshman running back in Demps taking some of the rushing duties off of Timmah's shoulders. OU's defense has been told all about the olympic caliber speed of Florida, and has been asked repeatedly how they will deal with it. I think that this will be more of a defensive battle - than an offensive shootout. Bradford and co. will get their points, but 60? I don't think so. I think OU's magic number is 45 - if they hit that - they win.
This isn't the first running qb that OU has seen this year - Washington's Locker, Baylor's Griffin (100+ yds against OU), Tejas' McCoy - In fairness to all of those guys - no one is the same league as Tebow. Locker is likely the closest. Unfortunately for the Sooners, Tebow is a tad bit better passing the ball than Jake.
There is no answer for Tebow - you can only hope to limit him, and put pressure on him - while containing. (Easier said than done) I will be putting a wager on a k/o or punt return - in this game - I'd be very surprised if one didn't go back. Our special teams is just that - special. They ride the short bus. It has gotten a little better over the year, but Chris Wilson will likely lose his job if one is taken to the house, and I'm betting there will be one (may be the difference in the game - as it was the turning point in the Texas game) If things go our way, Florida will be receiving many k/o returns, but not so sure we'll be lighting that defense up like the other Big XII secondaries.
My heart: 45-35
My head: 35-30
