i have watched most of the in conference games so far......
here are some observations......

Tex. Tech tonight outplayed A&M but the refs let pretty much everything go inside and A&M was much more physical thus could stay close........was not really impressed with either team though....

Last Sat, against K-State, K-State should have covered, but could not hit a layup the last 10 minutes of the 2nd half......it was a 4 point game at about the 10 minute mark and then they just played aweful missing everyhting and turning everything over to lose........i think right now K-State and Nebraska might be the worst two teams in the league......A&M might be slightly better and......

Kansas is rolling......the guard play is good and the most consistent inside game in the nation with Collison and Gooden will provide them with minimal down nights this year

Oklahoma is very athletic and a really really good team

Ok. State -- loss to Texas was mostly because of losing their star player Maurice Baker......team couldn't hit from the outside and that cost them.....also he was giddy against Baylor and I would check his status before a play is made........may be some value with OSU when he is back to full force.....this is a very very good team with him and they will no doubtedly win several 20 point + games this year especially at home.......

Texas.....although they lost Owens, they have a big dude in the middle who is cleaning house.....others have picked up scoring slack and this team is not much different without him.....may be even better in fact......others are more involved in the offense and it now revolves around frosh point guard Ford who plays just like Jaque Vaughn did......

Baylor......middle of the pack team.....will probably sneak an upset or two at home but i don't see them winning many road games and i would bet against them on the road a lot...

Mizzou......very very overrated......shooters are not hot and team has bad bad point guard.....until something is done about Stokes or he improves overnight they are a go against especially on the road.....

Iowa State......team will get better as the season goes along....almost guarantee of that......see lots of value in playing them........eustachy teams are typical of that......

Colorado.....haven't seen them.....team will probably cover once in a while at home but always a good fade on the road.....

Tex. Tech will have problems with physical teams this year.....big 12 officiating is very loose and Tech had a hard time with A&M lets see how they handle UT and OU....will be hard for them to play with them i think.......

Home Court is huge in the big 12.......very huge......especially from here on out when the students are back.....

Dr. Freeze,
I watched UConn/Oklahoma earlier this week and Texas Tech/Texas A+M last night and the one thing I came away with is that TT is going to get manhandled inside, especially when they play a physical team like Oklahoma with the way the Sooners attack the glass, esp. on the offensive end.
Texas Tech has some decent shooters, athletics players and have a guard or two with some decent size but no real bulk inside, rather slight, skilled players (and I'm not talking skilled like Georgia where the undersized athletes really know how to get after boards).
Texas Tech has to travel to Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon and if I can get the game anywhere between 8-11 points, I plan on banging Oklahoma good. I look for McGhee to have a field day inside, esp. coming off a 1-11 against UConn. With Nebraska up next after TT and a trip to Kansas still a week off, I think the Sooners will be jacked to bury Knight and TT.
Thanks for the Big 12 update.
Good luck.

Dr. Freeze,
Far be it from me to engage in any chest thumping, but I just wanted to say congratulations on the Oklahoma win. I know you've been looking forward to this game for a few days and I have been for at least a week after seeing both teams play a few times.
The game broke mostly as you pointed out and I thought during this thread you posted earlier in the week.
It was one of those enjoyable wins (and profitable) where I don't even want to make another play the rest of the day because it feels so good.
Congrats again. Keep the Big 12 reports coming

Whats This??

Whats This??

Insightful, helpful capping info that helps people win?

Keep it up. Yes its my school we're banging against, but if they're not gonna win, I might as well make money!

It amazing how you guys can share this info without any of the immature, mud slinging that was elsewhere!!!
