Love the Bears tonight. Texas has lost 2 of last 3 losing to OU and Texas Tech. Meanwhile Baylor is on a run away train going 16-0 and taking no prisoners . They have beaten every team by 8 or more points. Its No 1 vs No 5 and its at the Erwin Center in Austin. They are letting in 2,400 live fans in and have over 3,000 card board fans. At the last game I went to I had someone take a picture of me among 6 card board fans. I guess I put out my arm around one of the card board fans smiling. I didn't notice she was pretty hot looking. I sent it out on my text and of course my son is texting everyone " look who dad took to the game". When I got home that night my wife asked me " who was that blonde your had your arms around." I laughed and realized my knuckle son shared the picture to everyone in the western hemisphere . So I told everybody her name was Sophie "but she was flat chested ", At first it does really look like I'm with a blonde. But after closer inspection you can see its just pictures of people on big card boards.

Anyway don't think home court is a big advantage tonight. IN fact if Erwin was packed tonite with 20,000 Longhorn fans it wouldn;t make a difference.

Texas is so talented but so undisciplined ..The 3 gds can all play the point . All can shoot and penetrate the ball. Ramey,Coleman and Jones.. Could be the best 3 gd tandem in the country. Inside they have 6'9 freshmen Brown who has to be one of the top frosh in the country. Can do it all.shoot rebound dribble. Simms is the 6'10 center who had to sit out last game due to c-19. He brings his A or B game every night, Off the bench they have 6'9 Kai Jones who has unreal talent. Brock is off the bench and is a coaches dream player. Does everything and plays great defense and is all hustle. Ferbes who has been out is back and is there best shooter. Throw him up there with the gds.. Williams is another 6'6 gd. and lets not forger Hepa at 6'9 who wants to be a gd. The big question is " there is only 1 ball" So everyone says they have great depth and they do. But all these guys can't play defesne and that is one of Shacka's biggest problem Break down on defense. It cost them the OU and Tex Tech games. Shacka missed the last game due to c-19. Team has everyone back and all practiced for the 1st time Sunday.

Bears are now No 1 after zaga game was postponed. Bears have I think the best player in the country in Butler. At 6'3 he can do anything// He creates his own shot,can pass and dribble and is unselfish. This team didn't sneak up anybody Last yr they won 23 straight games ...they return 7 of there top 9 scorers back. Teague the other gd can score but plays unreal defense. both of these gds were thought to leave for the NBA but decided to come back. Mitchell the 3rd gd can shut down anybody. A defensive stud who can now score. Vital is a 6'5 fd and although small is their hustler and goes all out. Flager another gd can shoot and score. Flo Thumba is 6'10 and plays his role. Not a threat on offense but solid in the paint on Defense He will have his hands full tonite with the superior height of Texas front line.
Baylor wins and covers tonight because they are more disciplined. They play better defense and are very unselfish and passionate ..Drew has done a great job with all this talent. Even though both teams have good gds and Texas has a way better frontline Bears know how to win and put teams away. Texas doesn't. There ats record at home has to be horrendous . They make to many errors ,shoot 3's when they don't have too. Play way to much drive to the basket out of control and maybe something good might happen. And on defense although they play pretty good defense just fall apart and make a huge error. It goes back to discipline . Shacka is a terrible game coach ,outstanding recruiter and an all around just average .. His talent is outstanding and they do deserve to be in the top 10 .. Not sure about No 5...but Baylor deserves to be either 1 or 2 and they know Texas could be their one opponent to derail the Big 12 train. [ actually bus tonight}
Again Butler and defense just a little to much tonight.. line is now -5.5 good luck





UMass -13 oveer fordham ***

Mass just beat them in the Bronx about 2 or 3 weeks ago by 20 ,65-45. Rams have a great academic school that are run by the Jesuit order.. And lets not forget our Pope is a Jesuit .. but somehow on the hardwood floor the Jesuit mystic is gone. Being born only 500 yds from Rose Hill Gym the Fordham Hospital is now a parking lot for the Gym and Science building. They do have a White Castle across the street on Fordham rd. And they also have one of the worst teams in the A-10 and also in the country. They avg about 50 pts a game and FG % is not even listed in Ken pom{ I made that up} They rank in the 350's among D-1 schools. They also cannot hit 3's or rebound.. So maybe there one thing they can do is shoot FT's. Nope they shoot 66% from the Ft line one % less then Shack . Lasalle beat them 89-52.. It was a carrier high for 4 LaSalle players. Rams best player Ohams is out for the season.

UMass is only 5-4 but have Mitchell who last yr was A-10 rookie of the year at 6'9 and 240. Pierre is there best player and I swear this is his 7th year starting. Degray 3 and Fernandes from Wichita can also score. Weeks is back and he can score. Mass can score avg almost 80 pts a game. It has defensive problems but the Rams have no offense. They held them to 45 points last time they played and that was away from home. UMass will play full court pressure defense and dictate the game.. Rams although have no offense can play some defense but not enough to keep up . UMass wins big like they did a few weeks ago.



Baylor although let Texas back in the game put them away in the end. Texas defense was a problem, Shooting 3-12 from the FT line didn't help. To me it still comes down to what team has more discipline and knows how to win. Tex in close games can't put away good teams. Nova,OU,Tex T,and now Baylor.


Ok St -5 over TCU **

Cunningham has to play. He had 25 the other night after missing a whole bunch of games.
