As i've said from the beginning, I think he's a good choice and i'm glad he got confirmed. Not sure what Kerry, Clinton, Schumer and the others are trying to prove by voting 'no.'

It's the next one that will be interesting.

I thought he was to be good for all Americans. Bush would not play politics with a judge would he. I agree Kosar he was not worth the fight. Seems to have a lot on the ball. But there is not two like him around.

Just for your information djv Liberal and Conservative is not a political party they are Ideals . Not all Republicans are Conservative ( just look at Liberal ass Bush on domestic policy) and it used to be that not all Democrats were Liberals IE: Zell Miller the last of the great Conservative Southern Democrats ...... The problem is nowadays The Democrats have been hijacked by the ultra left wing loonies Boxer, Kennedy, Clinton, Rangel, complete moron types leaving those who even slightly lean right with no other choice but to vote for Republicans which like myself they might not entirely agree with .....kinda a lesser of 2 evils thing .
If Bush was a true conservative our Borders would be closed rt now and we would be expelling Arab Muslims ages 18 to 35 at the very least ,and their would be no such talk of granting amnesty to Illeagal alliens. Understand ?

 The dems don't have a clear message of what they believe in or stand for. They need a clear message and strong leader before anything will ever change for that party.

So Cal
Dan - 1934 was just a little different than today. Hoover had done nothing to stop the depression and the country was at a horrible state. FDR came in and instituted the socialist atmosphere because it was the only way out of the problems we had at the time. He hesitated to do it, but it was perhaps the only solution to jump start the economy. We are not in that type of situation today. And many of the programs that FDR began in the 30's are not viable today yet still live on.

Well were close when it comes to credit card Bush has over spent. No one like taxes. But giving a break at one point. Just to make taxes go up at another. Leaves a result of zero gain for many. Bush can pay for his war and hurricane damage by just repealing tax cut for top 2% for three years. I say he never lets it happen. He rather screw the other 98%. And when they talk bigger government. He has become the leader.

Yeah, taxes are such a bad thing. They pay for all of the beautiful things that make us all safer and more protected, have cleaner towns, more educated kids, protect our interests here at home and abroad, and countless things that we all forget about when complaining about paying taxes. How long have we heard about the tax and spend liberals? How long with the conservatives continue to stand behind this administration who has in two terms totally undermined everything regarding taxation and smaller government that THEY espoused in order to get elected? It's an absolute joke, and in my opinion anyone who continues to support Bush and say in the same post that liberals are bad for the country because they spend more are hypocrits.

Of course, the REALLY sad thing is that all of us posting here will probably not have to worry about the mess this administration is making for this country, financially. Our kids will be taking care of it, or trying to figure out ways to do it.

Bush = self-serving self-interests, more spending for personal agendas, less taxation for the self-interests and will be gone before we know it. He hit us in the pocketbook and has used our country and our tax money for personal gain for himself and those who immediately support him. They all knew perfectly well what they were doing, and if you cannot see that, you are not really looking.

You pay for it every day at the gas pump. A Texas oilman and a defense contractor gained massive connections and enacted energy and defense programs to benefit their supporters and themselves. They continue to do it, and they continue to spend YOUR TAX DOLLARS which is then given directly to their own personal contacts and to themselves eventually - or initially, to get elected.

At least liberals tell you they want to take your tax money and spend it on programs. You have a right to argue with that, and those programs. But Bush and Cheney have taken this to an unheard of level of deceipt, corruption and brashness.

Anyone who says that liberals are tax and spenders and still support Bush and Cheney are complete frauds. You cannot have it both ways, even though, your leaders seem to be very convincing over the past 6 years.

I cannot imagine that the supporters of this administration are too happy with the past few months of headlines. They will pale in comparison to what will be coming out moving forward. This is just my opinion, of course.

Why not eliminate federal flood insurance for developers and home owners who build in areas where no bank would loan money, and no carrier would provide insurance. BECAUSE THEY KNOW they will
eventually pay out big time. THis welfare for the rich always comes back to bite the federal treasury. WHAT ABOUT THE FREE MARKET determining where people build, loan and insure

I look at the scoreboard all the time and much to your suprise its not in your local paper and its not on TV ....In fact you think you have a clue but you dont even no where to find the scoreboard do you ??????

Lets face it bro your way over your head let me ask you a question or 2 so we can see where your at .

1. Whats the Difference between Money & Currency ?

2. Do you thnk the country reduced the national debt or created more debt during the Clinton admin ?

3. Funny you fail to mention that it is record spending in dollars all time but not even close to record spending in real dollars ..... best way to explain that is just because your dad only made $35,000 a year in 1969 dosent mean you live better than him making $70,000 in 2005 in fact its quite the opposite .
