Villanova @ Uconn proj: 137 actual line: 138 PASS
Kansas @ Texas proj: 157 line: 165.5 UNDER
Utah @ UNLV proj: 136.5 line: 132 OVER

Going against conventional wisdom and the line moves here. Both Texas and Kansas scored over 100 pts on Saturday but we'll see how they do on one days rest. The Utah total has been bet down from 135 to 132 but that's fine w/me. These money moves on totals have often been on the wrong side.

before i would make a play on the Kansas Texas game i would see what Barnes is gonna do......last couple games he has had Ford push the ball up the court consistently.......if he does this tonight game will be in the 80's + easily.......

True, IF they decided to push it. On one days rest vs Providence, they totalled 116, well under 142, and against Tex Tech, the game also went under, although it was close.

Texas number of conf game totals over 165.5: 3 out of 10
Kansas number of conf game totals over 165.5 6 out of 10
Texas median conf game total: 144
Kansas median conf game total: 169

yeah but you can't bet like that.......

a team pushing the ball against a team pushing the ball results in a positive feedback mechanism further inflating the total......

and as for Texas pushing the ball.....they are doing that more and more lately......last couple games Barnes has instructed Ford to do that starting with 2nd half of OU game......

if Texas is gonna run with OU, I would think they are going to with Kansas......

IF Texas tries to run with Kansas it will be a blowout early.

IF Texas tries to run with Kansas it will be a blowout early.

Just my two cents.

They will pick their spots but I don't think they will play a run and gun style. Kansas is the best transition team I have seen in a long time.

The last two meetings Barnes has not tried to run with Kansas. This is a new season and I don't think it's possible this season to keep Kansas from running. Kansas will probably force Texas out of the tempo they want to play tonight. In wont bet on the over, could fall either way.

not necessarily......think they might have to run......if they play against set Kansas defense every time it will be a blowout and only Kansas will run......

I'm inclined to believe Barnes would be better off not getting into a running battle with Kansas. I have no allegiance to either school, so it really doesn't matter to me who wins.

I am really looking forward to this game. Lots of differing opinions. I personally can't imagine them pushing the pace. I'm thinkin the only 2 ways for an over are if Texas decides to run from the start, or that they will get behind quickly enough to be dragged into a running game.

But, if Barnes doesn't think they can win a half court game, maybe they will come out and run. I think if Texas comes runnin straight out of the lockeroom, it's a sign of desperation. Who knows? I think the number is about right with a lean to the under.

FREEZE IS RIGHT ON. BARNES LOVES TO RUN -COULD NOT EARLIER THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF THERE YOUNG BACK COURT. KANSAS IS RUNNING LIKE A SEWING MACHINE RIGHR NOW. TEXAS IS NOT A VERY GOOD DEFENSIVE TEAM IN THE FIRST PLACE. AGAINST A PROVIDENCE TEAM (THAT BY THE WAY CONTROLLED THE TEMPO) THEY CAN PRESSURE THE BALL. KANSAS WILL RUN WILD. MEANWHILE TEXAS IS GELING OFFENSIVLEY AND ARE AT HOME. THE VALUE IS IN THE OVER. TOP PLAY FOR ME.JMHO

Well let me throw in my 2 cents here......TX will RUN against Kansas period........If you watch the Horns like I do down here they play better when they run....Now that being said I do agree that they will pick their spots to run but it will be often........The key to this game is Texas' transition D.....If they don't get back and get that D set, they will be in for a long night but if they DO, this will be a very entertaining game.....GLA!!!!!

Throw in the fact that Gooden will most likely be out for Kansas, Texas doesn't have to contend with Kansas' best big man. Although, who'll pick up the 20/game that Gooden is tossing in for Kansas?
