UNC-Wilmington @ Drexel
Head coach Bruiser Flint has the Drexel Dragons playing some solid ball of late they are coming off of a big upset of George Mason and are now back at home where they are a very impressive 9-1 straight up and a perfect 8-0 ATS. They are 16-7 ATS on the year and really seem to be gelling as a unit. 6'8" junior Robert Battle leads the team with 14 points and 9 rebounds a game he shoots a very impressive 54% from the field, Eric Schmeider pulls down 6.7 rebounds a game and Tim Whiteworth adds in 14 points a game and the Dragons are a very solid free throw shooting team averaging 68% from the charity stripe for the year. Here are a few trends to back up our play!

Situations favoring DREXEL to cover the spread. (2)
Play On - Home underdogs (DREXEL) - after 3 straight games - attempting 10+ less shots than opponent.
(22-7 ATS) (75.9%, +14.3 units. Rating = 3 stars)
Play On - Home underdogs of 6 points or less (DREXEL) - after 3 straight games - attempting 10+ less shots than opponent.
(16-5 ATS) (76.2%, +10.5 units. Rating = 2 stars)

Team Trends favoring DREXEL to cover the spread
DREXEL is 9-2 ATS after 1 or more consecutive losses this season.
DREXEL is 5-1 ATS after a game where they failed to cover the spread this season.
DREXEL is 8-0 ATS in home games this season.
DREXEL is 5-1 ATS off a road loss this season.
DREXEL is 7-1 ATS revenging a loss vs opponent this season.

Play +1.5

Drexel is an up-tempo team that scores a lot of points and rebounds fairly well offensively. Their style should give NC Wilm trouble, although GMU kept the Dragons in more of a half court game on Saturday and won decisively. Drexel has played very well at home while NC Wilm. has struggled on the road somewhat. One thing that worries me is that NC Wilmington needs wins in their last two conference games to stay ahead of GMU who have 4 left and are at William & Mary tonight. Good luck tonight. I think you are on the right side, and I also like GMU Pk.

happens all the time robert. there is a support group here that will slap each other on the back and take credit for every game that covers any particular evening. but it does their moral and self esteem good and besides - do you post for the personal recognition or for the satisfaction of knowing that you helped others win at this difficult avocation? also, many times more than one capper may work up the same game with a slight stagger in posting times. i, and i think most others here, recognize your contributions. thanks and keep up the good work.

There are not to many things in the world that make me feel better than when I post a winner and I know that I helped out but if no one acknowledges that they played the play makes you feel like you wasted all of that time researching the play and posting it. Anyone who cares to ask Raymond how much time I put into capping they will find out I spend about 16 hours a day capping games and that is allot of time and energy to put up a pick and you never know if anyone plays it or not. Sorry if I seem like I am being petty but just like to know if I am helping and I won't if no one lets me know.

Robert- I think you have had plenty of threads with tons of hits where people have thanked you..especially when you posted your computer plays back when...I'm pretty sure you realize you have people following you. But making posts where you are looking for credit or a pat on the back really makes it look, as you said, petty.

Robert, nice call on Drexel.Didn't see your post on them but your stats were excellent.I also had them.If I had read your post I definatley would of put more up.My angle being a coach is whenever you play in a place you have never played before it's got to be tougher to get acclimated to it.Now NCW comes to Daskalakis,a bandbox and must deal with a gym where the scorers table is almost on the floor and subs can't sit in front of it.
Didn't read the box score but Blizzard shot 1-12.He is the best shooter in the conf and the pro's like his game.I'm sure a lot of that had to do with Drexels defense but some of it was the D-center.
Bill Herion who used to coach there recruited several of my players over the yrs. That's when they were in the East Coast Conf.It got changed to the NorthCoast I think. It seems back them they changed conf's so often.
Anyway nice job last nite.Keep them coming. Will pay more attention to your picks.
