to 1837 and Stanley and their continuing success in Formula One.
1837 does a host of homework on this and gives you all the info you need. Their consistent rate of winners, particularly in qualifying matchups, proves the theory that you can beat the book if you specialise in a sport where you have a better chance of knowing more than the linemakers.
For someone who has ridden the gravy train this season in a sport I know nada about - couldn't even check my own oil and water
wink.gif
- it's been a delightful eye-opener

Well, posted this a fortnight ago and no-one really gave a s**t.
So I guess of all you that didn't care again missed out on making another bucketload this weekend on the British GP as 1837 and Stanley continued their outstanding work.
Of course, I make exceptions for the cunning djv - who I now know all about from Redsfann
wink.gif
- and proline, who may follow horses who follow other horses
wink.gif
but knows which cappers to follow

Sometimes at Madjacks there is a tendency to rip into each forum with a "macho" attitude of trying to out-cap your "opposition" and forgetting that the whole point of the site is to get the best possible betting information on a game/sport.

In doing so, we ignore top class advice from specialists who constantly get results - ie the motor racing forum.
1837's record for the GP season is 82-44-1
eek.gif

If anyone here can beat that in their "specialist" sport I'd like to know.
I realise that forum may have some lurkers who don't contribute simply because they know sod all about the sport - ie me - but appreciate the work and results.

But it seems many of us are missing out and need to take the blinkers off.

Anders good words. You are correct I for one get into Football, NFL/NCAA, Baskets NCAA some Baseball, a little Nascar. But all the other sporting events I have to listen to those who know best. That includes you. This is why I love this place. Been with the guys on F1 from the start. Just outstanding. Hey all that off the wall info outstanding.
Redsfann was to say all good things about me so it does not blow my cover.
Hey World Fast Pitch Championship will be held in Eau Claire Wisconsin. That is about 80 miles north of my city. We been told a team from New Zealand and two from Australia will be coming. Maybe you better come here and cover that story. I believe dates are August 8th to the 11th. Over 40 teams are expected.

1837 and Stanley for racing,

Fletcher for boxing,

and the many individuals who provide the general discussion and movers and shakers with informative or fun material.

There are many who are frequently overlooked........

Welcome back Anders!

Hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable vacation with the wife and kiddos.

Yes..........you were sorely missed.

Without you to balance my baseball plays it was a losing week for me altho not really that bad.

Where does one go in New Zealand to "get aways from it all"?

BTW... saw something on the Animal Network channel this week about giant grasshoppers as big as your frigging hand that are native to New Zealand. Amazing.

Best of luck to you

"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
All I have to say is that since expanding my mind and getting into Aussie Rules football, my bankroll has gotten back to an even better plus side to compensate for the fiasco that is called MLB.

thanks for the post ANDERS, I think I will look into the motorsports and horses forum and "lurk" around there...

I mean, i think I have a better chance of parlaying 1 favorite for five or six different sports, than i do for 5 games in one sport.

I think more people should try it.
just my two sense worth.

I appreciate knowing of anyone that we can consider an expert in any certain sport. I've never bet on motor sports but with this kind of promoting by Anders I shall consider it in the near future. Thanks for the tip.
How much longer do they race this season?

We have some good points here. We definitely should be open to other sports and salute those folks that have expert knowledge in "non mainstream" (whatever that means) sports.

I have a feeling people like me who wager on Major League Baseball will have to turn elsewhere for money next summer when the gread hits the fan and possibly another "work stoppage" in MLB.

Something to think about,
HC

Well,

I freely admit that I don't know much about handicapping or sports. But I have suspected that there is opportunity and money in sports betting if you practice proper money management and are conservative.

Well....thanks to Anders and Stanley I have found something that has been working rather well for me.

I have been using the GOLF and Australian rugby and football plays to BALANCE my other plays....in the more mainstream sports.

Same goes for Nascar and F-1.. These guys are good. And all in all they have kept me in the game!

I have had winners in FOUR golf tournaments, one Nascar win, numerous wins in aussie footy (whatever the hell that is) and rugby!
All I know is that those guys have leather balls and they know how to use them.

Yes...you Aussies, Kiwis, Canadians and uh...mmmmm Tazmanians!!!!!!! Wow!
I'm the blood sucking leech who latched on about three or four months ago who only drops off occasionally to make a bank deposit.

I've also been making money the past two weeks in soccer. Another sport I know next to nothing about. I watched my first Copa Match tonight and saw Honduras kick so serious Bolivian a**. What a feeling to be watching my first Spanish speaking game and watch the money roll in. Kachinnn! My wife thinks I have lost my mind. And she may be right.. I dunno

Also had a winner in the Rahman-Lennox fight.. which was a miracle I know. I would say thank you Jesus but being a minister's son I am pretty sure that I would be hit by lightening.

Thanks guys for letting an ignorant non-sports enthusiast tag along and "earn as I learn".

It sure beats the hell out of the ass-kicking I've been taking in baseball. I keep asking myself why I keep doing it and I just don't know. I think it will feel so good when I stop.

Thank you to all my friends across the pond and up north across the border... and yes...you too djv, fletch and raymon...

Best of luck to you all.

AzRusty

Great to see some positive responses ... I know "coat-tailing" isn't for everyone and some 'cappers don't like to play other people's picks, which I can understand.
But it seems there's been others like me who have collected a useful sum of cash just by playing picks from guys who have a very sound understanding of their sports - pretty painless way of collecting
biggrin.gif

I just feel that this is the best site out for its purposes and we can all use the resources (people) here to the maximum.

djv - i'm thinking fast pitch is softball right? Kiwis are world champs at that

Unfortunately, not my round so editor's arm would be too hard to twist. At that time of the year I'll be building up the hype to our NBL (National Basketball League) finals. Our home team, the Waikato Titans, are unbeaten this season and on track to break a few long-standing records - very short season in NZ of course, just 18 games
eek.gif
regular season. They beat Stanford last month when the California boys came on a Down Under tour - they beat the Aussie NBL champs and the national Aus under-22 side twice but had their butts kicked - Casey Jacobsen and all - by the boys from the mighty Waikato
