Just a quick question for all you sports gamblers out there! A year ago I had one very eventful night gambling in Lake Tahoe, CA, USA

Here's the quick story........

I bought a "super longshot" 10 game parlay ticket at Harrahs Casino (they had a special....don't usually offer 10 team parlays...for obvious reasons!).

Well........I actually hit my first nine games! Crazy!......It came down to a baseball game Over/Under. I had Under 13.5 and the score was 6-4 heading into the bottom of the ninth. It was looking real real good for me.....REAL GOOD! The bases were loaded with one out...........only one thing could have happened where I would lose..............yep a grand slam!! And that's exactly what happened..........A GRAND SLAM on an 0-2 count no less! Final score was 8-6! I lost! And yes I was devastated....geez 7-6 and I would have won!

How much would I have won.............57 thousand dollars ...........and I only bet 15 dollars!

So here's my question:

Anyone ever won a "superlongshot" ticket?

man..........what a night.........and there were about 25 strangers cheering for me as well............took me a long time to get over that one let me tell ya!

No, but let me give you another sad story.

About 8 years ago, my ex and i went to Aruba where we were playing Carribean Poker. for the extra $1 per hand, you have a chance to win extra $$ up to $100,000 for A,K,Q,J,10 of hearts. (royal flush). to make a long story short, there you can pick up your cards unlike Atlantic city or other places where you cannot TOUCH them.
So i pick them up (and i like to squeeze them 1 at a time)

1st card- 10 of hearts
2nd card- King of hearts
3rd card- Ace of hearts
4th card- queen of hearts (Now i am shitting bricks)
Squeeze the last card and i notice it is red. Good sign. i then squeeze further and it's a jack. Damn red jack. if it's a heart i am $100,000 ritcher..............................................

5th card- Jack of funkin
DIAMONDS! WHAT A SICK FEELING! WON A FEW BUCKS BUT MISSED A HUNDRED THOUSAND BY 1 SUIT.

hope to hear some GOOD stories!!! hit an 8 teamer once for $6,000. probably spent more than that over the years!

For me it's easy. I was at Woodbine racetrack in Toronto and I had a trifecta box going on a 25-1, a 50-1 shot and the 2-1 favorite. Sure enough. The 25-1 shot wins, the 50-1 shot is 2nd and the 2-1 shot comes 3rd. I'm figuring it has to be worth at least $5k for a $2 ticket and I had $4 on it.
Well up goes the inquiry sign. The jockey on one of the backmarkers launches a claim of foul against the winner. I wait out an agonizing 10 minute delay and they announce the claim of foul was disallowed. HOORAY!!

But wait! The inquiry sign doesn't come down. The stewards in reviewing the film for 10 minutes believe they saw something fishy with the favorite and thus I wait out another 5 minute delay and this time they take down the favorite. Instead the 3-1 second choice gets bumped to 3rd and the trifecta pays $18,000 for a $2 ticket. So you have to assume my ticket would have paid at least $10-$15k for each $2 ticket. Thus, by way of inquiry I lost $20-30k.

What makes things worse though is that had the shithead jockey not launched the unsuccessful claim of foul, chances are the stewards wouldn't have bothered with their investigation into the favorite since they only recognized the infraction after examining film from the race for 10 minutes due to the original unsuccessful inquiry and there was no jockey's claim of foul against the favorite.

parlay that should have been

parlay that should have been

I had a 14 teamer at OLYMPIC 2 years ago miss by one game payout was $127,000 which I only would have recieved $100,000 for as this is the limit for a parlay win at OLY. I nailed everything except Dallas Stars over Nashville Preds and Dallas was -310 on the moneyline I wish I could have gotten that one but I got Spiro back by hitting a $59k and change 8 teamer in December of last year and then the next night hit another for $31,000 needless to say all I saw of that 90k was 30 and I lost the rest to greed:D
