I question the validity of Dele's brother's girlfriend's story. By all accounts, Dele was not a violent person but in her account Dele killed the captain of the boat because he wanted to report the death of Dele's girlfriend, who was supposedly "accidently" killed trying to break up a fight between Dele and his brother. I find this hard to believe; Dele was a center/power forward in the NBA and his brother was probably a large individual. A woman thinks she could break up a fight between them? And after his girlfriend is killed, Dele's first thought is to kill the captain? I don't buy it. She is the only survivor; what took her so long to come forward? It certainly looks like she got scared about being an accessory to murder, or withholding evidence.

Dele's brother was about as big. I agree that his girlfriend's story has more holes in it than a slice of swiss cheese. My understanding of the story is that Bison's brother killed the Captain and Bison and most likely the girl. It's a weird story at best. The mother held a little memorial service for both of her sons at the same time. Gee, you can see the murderer and his victim at the same time, same service.

I did not know the girlfriend survived. The way I read it the girlfriend called someone and told them there was bad feelings going on on the trip or something.
Who painted the boat and renamed it ?
When the other brother showed up with the concussion. How did he get that ? I surmize maybe someone gave him a severe headache with a blunt insturment ?
This investigation is no where near over.
Its clearly a mystery voyage and very sad.

The only individuals reported to be on the boat were Dele and his girlfriend, the brother, and the boat captain. It was later, after the incident, that the brother had a conversation with HIS girlfriend where he discussed what had happened. I agree, his account sounds fishy, and if he so wracked with guilt, then why did he assume Bison's identity and buy all that gold?:shrug:
Bison's brother brought the boat into port alone. The boat had a new name. he wasn't able to buy the gold because they checked on him. apparently he died of a drug overdose - but I have heard two things - cocaine and/or insulin. found on a beach in mexico with nothing on but a pair of sox. as others said, very fishy - especially how does the unconscious guy get across the border to a hospital in the san diego/border area? a 6'8 or bigger black guy unconscious makes it over the border - to be discovered when the hospital notified the police. this is very strange.
