With the aftermath of the D-Backs bullpen meltdown today, does anybody have a idea on how many blown saves there have this year compared to other years. It just seems like this year no lead is safe going into the 9th. Unfortuntely I've been a victim of the 9th inning blown save more times than not.

Under a mask.
Since we got Gagne its been a disaster for the Sox.

You cant take a closer and use him for setup ,just doesnt work.
He blew the save today against Baltimore.

This trade could really backfire on this organization, and go down as one of the worst trades made,if his game does not improve.

I agree 100%. A closer mentality is much different than a setup mans. the same thing is happening in Atlanta with Wickman and Dotel. On Thursday after David Wright hit a 2-run homer to put the game within one run, Bobby Cox decided to go with some smuck in the bullpen rather than going with Dotel to close out the game. Dotel didn't look to happy about the situation and I wouldn't be either. Let's face it no matter what team out there this year the bullpen just flat out suck.
