Outright plays (2pts):

Gil Morgan to win 10/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
Take out the weather-shortened event in 2002 and Morgan has a great record in this event. He has finished in the top-10 in every year bar one (1999) when he was forced to withdraw after the second round, but he had been in 13th position at the time. He also won this event in 2000. So with course experience important on this Scottish-style course, he looks one to back. It also helps that he has won once already this season and finished inside the top-12 in all six starts.

Tom Purtzer to win 14/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
Purtzer has the form to match Morgan - finishes of 3rd, 6th and 1st in his last three starts and shot rounds of 66, 66 and 67 last year en route to a top-5 finish on his debut at The Moors. Difficult to argue against that sort of form and he just gets the nod over Larry Nelson at the same price who has a good history on this course, but finishes 2nd rather a lot.

Morris Hatalsky to win 40/1 e.w. @ Stan James
Quite a difference of opinion between the Stan James and SkyBet compilers on Hatalsky. While Stan James offer 40/1, SkyBet offer a mere 16/1. And with good reason. Hatalsky pushed Purtzer all the way in the last Champions Tour event, the Toshiba Senior Classic, finishing just one shot behind despite losing a ball in a tree and deciding against clambering up. He was also 3rd after two rounds of this event last year on his debut, but had a poor round. So he does know that he can play well on this course and this seems a large price for a two-time winner on this Tour for an event that is missing a some of the top players.

Outrights - Final update: 1-2; -2.50pts

Morgan 3rd
Purtzer 6th
Hatalsky 27th

The only event this week in which the outright plays made a loss, yet there was plenty of cause for optimism at the start of the day. Morgan had been leading the event and Purtzer was in 5th place, but Morgan finished six shots behind his playing partner, Tom Jenkins, and Purtzer finished two shots outside a top-four place.

Matchups - Final update: 3-0-0; +6.00pts

Purtzer/Doyle WON by 8
Smyth/Fiori WON by 7
Morgan/McNulty WON by 8

Three very comfortable wins for a nice sweep!
