Blue Crush vs. Adventures of Pluto Nash

No doubt XXX will steal most of the money next weekend but I fully expect Adventures of Pluto Nash to CRUSH Blue Crush for 1 reason - Eddie Murphy! It's been a while since he released a movie but it's also been a longer while since a movie he's in hasn't been a blockbuster. Blue Crush is some sort of teenage girl beach movie or something. I'm all over Pluto on this one :).

....no way can I pass up watching some hot surfer chicks riding the waves on Hawaii's North Shore. :p

It looks like everybody is on Blue Crush. I don't get it. I won with Signs over XXX because I knew people would go see Mel Gibson over Vin Diesel. In this case you have Eddie Murphy vs. a group of nobody's.

On top of that, boxofficereport.com shows studio estimates for Pluto Nash at $20 million and for Blue Crush at $15 million. And even at hsx.com they have a $3 million cushion for Pluto Nash which has come well down from the $10 million cushion earlier this month.

I've certainly seen tons of advertisements for both and if I'm not mistaken Pluto Nash is set to be released in more theaters. So what gives here???

+150 on Eddie Murphy's film seems like a gift to me and I'm usually pretty accurate with my movie predictions.
