Round 2 play (2pts):

Luke Donald to beat Martin Kaymer +100 @ 5Dimes
It should be another windy day tomorrow in Shanghai and these are normally conditions in which Donald prospers far more than Kaymer. Added to a 3rd place finish on this course last year and better recent form (albeit on the PGA Tour), I don't see why Donald has been priced as the underdog.

Round 3 plays (2pts):

Luke Guthrie to beat Scott Jamieson -120 @ 5Dimes [also available @ Stan James]
A rare play to beat the leader against the player in 2nd place, but Guthrie has been very impressive so far this week and when he held sole possession of the lead in the Honda Classic this year after 36 holes, he was still in 1st position at the end of the next round. He is also in very good form, coming off a top-5 finish in Las Vegas. For Jamieson, this has become unfamiliar territory ... he has finished inside the top-10 in any strokeplay event since January and the one time that he has been inside the top-10 since then (Open de France), he shot 80-75 over the weekend to finish 59th.

Luke Donald to beat Martin Kaymer +110 @ 5Dimes [also available @ Bet365]
Donald was not at his best today and still only lost by a single shot to Kaymer, so I'll go back in and back him at better odds in rd3. In addition to the reasons for backing him in rd2, Donald leads Kaymer 12-4-2 h2h in rd3 since 2012.

David Howell to beat Mikko Ilonen -130 @ 5Dimes
Two players lower down the leaderboard, but Howell has the form to turn it around - he won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship a month ago and the only time that he has not played all four rounds in his last 10 starts was a withdrawal in the Wales Open. In Ilonen's last 10 starts, he has failed to record a top-30 finish.

Round 4 plays (4pts):

Luke Guthrie to beat Rafa Cabrera-Bello -110 @ Stan James
Both players are 0-for-1 when leading after 54 holes, so both the leaders may be prone to nerves tomorrow, but I still think that Guthrie will cope with them better. He has at least been in contention recently - 5th last week in Las Vegas - whereas Cabrera-Bello has just one top-10 finish in his last 25 starts.

Luke Donald to beat Martin Kaymer -105 @ Bet365
Third time lucky, I hope. After a couple of one-shot losses, I'm still backing Donald's class to come to the fore by the end of the tournament. I've already given enough reasons to back Donald in this matchup this week...
